Ohh, very dark mood! It reminds me of Bloodborne and Zelda Majora's Mask. I like the very dark building on the foregrounds and the more light buildings in the back, it feels like a dense city!
I'm curious, does Ballman Castle Town come from a game / book / movie or did you come up with it for this jam?
Honestly, I just came up with it for the jam. I drew the three foreground buildings first and then figured I needed something to summon on the alter and I love circular / round headed guys so that part came a lot easier than the buildings.
In retrospect he does look a lot like he came from the binding of Isaac, and I do love that game so there’s definitely a lot of inspiration from that too.
