Wow, was surprised when I saw this became a card game. Really awesome work! I especially loved the artwork on the cards!

The text was a little hard to read, so I got lost pretty easily once the card game started. Very cool concept.

I love the art in this game! bit sad that there doesn't seem to be audio, is that a bug since you guys had a voice actor in your team?

Sadly we got a but after fixing another and didn't notice before the end of the deadline, the game was supposed to have voices but Unity didn't comply

Congrats to all 7 of you! I think you did a great job.

This game reminded me a little bit about Inscription, which is also a game where you have a part 3D environment as well as a real card game you play to progress through a path.

I'm not entirely sure how the card game was played, it was never super clear to me when I could and could not play a card. But in the end I figured that I just needed to draw the +2 forward and +1 forward cards until I won. There were a couple of times when there was an obstacle but luckily I always got the card to clear the way so it was never a problem haha 😁

Making a good card game is definitely not easy and I think you made it interesting with the lore and the complexity. A little bit more guidance on the mechanics would have been nice, but of course it is not easy in 72h to get that done.

But all in all: Grandpa would be proud 😉

Great game! Here's my feedback, all over the place but I hope it might be of value

- the orange cards in the hand looked like characters you could place on the board just like the 3 that are there already- (them having the same outline colors caused some confusion in the beginning. if they were blue or something then i might've understood faster but yeah idk, just wanted to mention it)

- I figured out but didn't really visually see that every of the 3 characters can only do 1 action max every turn, maybe add context when a second time is denied, or show that it cant do it anymore after 1 time?

- the art is unbelievable i really love every piece of it

- I love Inscryption and this game really does remind me of it a little

- Fun storyy, it fits!

- when going Fullscreen the dialogue text is pretty small for me (when not in the cardgame)

- I don't think there's sound in the game? Might be me but I did see there was voice acting so I'd love to hear that T^T

- maybe the tutorial dialogue would benefit from showing while in the card game already, text + visuals helps more than text and then have to connect the dots yourself i think. but even though i skipped a bit of the dialogue I still figured out the game so compliments!

- the checkmark is a little camouflaged cus its the same color as the outline, not that i didn't notice it but its a POI (maybe bit it a little beneath the ui box or more within for example

- I did notice that my flame-health was really high most of the run. like, it was no concern. maybe decrease the max? make it harder that way?

- some actions like 'free the X' can be used even if there's nothing that can be freed or cleared, but it does use up that turn

- the 'choose a card to X' UI has this nice drawing, but also a gray box around it. not sure if its a placeholder but i did wanna mention it ^^

- the characters feel so alive, especially in the artworks, its really beautiful! props to Ry!

- the gameplay was very nice, everything worked smoothly once i understood it all, great loop for such a short jam!

- the room and its models were very detailed for the amount of time!

- The language was very well translated

Thank you so much for the review! We appreciate it a lot! Sadly the voices don't play because of a bug, it's going to be one of the first things we'll work on fixing. The team appreciates a lot all the compliments, so thank you once again!

Hey team, I also submitted with a team!

I enjoyed the use of 3D and 2D segments and how they each fit into the game/story, though the dialogue text was quite difficult to read due to the font and size chosen. The lack of audio unfortunately detracts from the game's overall experience. I'm reading there is supposed to be voice lines - for next time, it can be helpful to organize some time for testing! I was a bit confused at first by the deckbuilder concept, but I ultimately completed it. I enjoyed the game design and art of that segment, and I think the difficulty could even be tweaked a bit to be more challenging!

Congratulations on your hard work as a team and for submitting this really cool game!

I really liked the game's concept and the card design.

Loved the inscryption inspiration and the card game rules. The voice lines are not working on my side though
