I think I can confidently say you've got one of the most unique (perhaps polarizing) gameplays in the Jam, and certainly some of the most intriguing cinematography. You're using typography and extra click interactions in really effective and thought-provoking ways, which really make the experience of the story's anxiety something that you the player get to feel firsthand. The amount of work that this took is clear, and I'll be very curious to see the future installments. Huge congrats on such a strong vision and strong entry!

I had a good impression of the game. It has personality and conveys the frustration of not being able to sleep very well. The close-ups of the eyes, the vibrant colors, and the overlapping images create a sense of discomfort that fits perfectly with the game's concept.

I especially liked how counting sheep ends up becoming another worry: the fear of losing count. It's a detail that perfectly captures how our own minds can prevent us from resting.

However, I think the pacing could be a little smoother, since many very short lines require separate clicks. The repetition works well with the theme, but combining some parts would help maintain the tension.

I would also increase the contrast of the dark gray text against the black background, since it was difficult to read, and make the consequences of the player's actions clearer.

The person below compared it to Milk inside a bag of milk inside a bag of milk, and that game did come to mind for me too, but personally, it reminded me even more of Disco Elysium.

The opening sequence of Chapter 1 felt a little long, which caught me off guard at first, but once it transitioned into the next scene, I was completely blown away.

I also really loved the way the text was presented throughout the game, including the moments where the line breaks were used deliberately for effect.

I hope you go on to create many more amazing and surprising works in the future.

Loved the eyes. Loved the effects. Loved clicking and the feedback of the text popping up. The sounds and vibe were unnerving in the best way.

As a person who can't always sleep and hates the bzzzt, this is relatable. Great work.

Best use of sheep in the whole jam.  Frightening sensory experience.  If this game speaks to you, pour boiling water down your drains for four days.  Make sure to get them all, including bath drains.  This may help.

I quite enjoyed your game.

I really liked the artstyle, was giving me big "bag inside a bag of milk" vibes... when it was there. I think it goes too long with just text and only sheeps (sheep is cute though) and i quickly started cheering the fly to wake the character up. And I'm sorry for saying this, as it looks like insomnia here is something you understand sadly too well, but character pulling out a gun on a fly was hilarious.

For other nitpicks, first dialogue after each sheep-counting was constantly bugging out, turning itself off and then start from the begginning after awhile and English version is somewhat rough (that's of course fine in gamejam project imo and wasn't substracting much from the experience).

Would like to see more (with more art in between mayhaps).

Good luck with finishing chapter 3
