Really nice game! 👏 The hospital atmosphere and the creepy sounds work so well together, and it all feels very clean and polished. One small suggestion: a bit more variety in what you do would add even more depth. Overall a great entry, great job!
If you get a chance, I’d love for you to try mine 😊
I love the game, keep up the good work!
Surprisingly this work well on my potato machine, well done for the 3D optimization. I escaped and found 11 items. The level design is huge. Scary creatures too, I felt safer once I knew their pattern XD
YES!! Backrooms!!
there is some repetitions in the rooms.
And I don't know if the chair monster can catch me XD
Great work!!
The game managed to make me tense. I really didn’t want to find out what would happen if that monster caught up to me, and thankfully I never had to, because I managed to beat it on my first try.
Overall, it was a good job, but I think the game would benefit from being a bit shorter and having less repetition between rooms. That would help keep the tension stronger throughout.
This game seemed to be a backrooms variant with its liminal rooms in which no object in it, even the supporting pillars, has a collider. The impression of a hospital was there but of course the rooms made no sense because there were no place in which doctors and nurses would actually work... only halls and empty beds. So, horror vibes, yeah.
I'm not sure whether the theme fits here; you don't go to a hospital because you're invited but because you have to or you visit someone. So, being uninvited is the standard ;-) Surely, on the other hand, the ghost is an uninvited creature, but that fits for any ghost/monster story.
For me, the game worked as a small horror experience but I'm afraid the novelty may wear off quickly because of the samey content of the rooms. On the other hand, in the backrooms, it was part of the base of their success.
Yeah there were some time limitations to implement plannet features, but the idea was to reverse ghost environment like system where player is the uninvited person unlike the ghosts or creatures, so a terrible creature want player get out from it's environment - similar to be as game supervillain.
I planned in the building have texts on walls like "get out!"/"you should leave" and other, or/and in ghost-creature hand (which would be too goofy though and not easy trough blanket or even typed with blood texture on blanket surface) and in rooms having similar standing signs.
I started adding these "small but important detail" features too late. Most time i spent to: finding and then fit the found assets of hospital at the system of generations already created - because i were not sure which environmemt would be used in from the start - and filling room variatons with stuff and also finding and sorting some sounds to find for free for the environments.
And also yes, it reminds lot of backrooms, and i actually thought before founding nice free hospital assets to make it one type of backroom game which would be also nice i guess and receive more views because of trends today; so i might create backrooms variation from game concept/characters later also - maybe even mobile version which would finely fit for this concept and mechanics so far i think.
Very scary game had to hide under table while playing it! Luckily i managed to escape!
Love the classic indie horror vibes, and yes I wet the floor too with that creepy enemies following me :,3 . Good Game !
little hard with no instruction but it was pretty fun. Cool game :)
Classic Indie horror stuff, the lights with sound kinda gives away when the enemy will appear to room so I got plenty time return and close the doors. I do like the idea that you can open door differently wich allows you to peek.
Personally, I never play or watch horror games - lucky me that my very first game jam turned out to be Halloween-themed 🎃
Playing this, I was genuinely terrified — my horror tolerance is practically zero. That monster spawn sound sent literal chills down my spine. At multiple points, I legitimately doubted my pants would survive the playthrough.
And seeing those bodies the moment you open a door?! That immediately taught me to slam the door shut and bolt for another one without waiting around for the monster or a jumpscare. The atmosphere pulled me right in.
The pumpkins gave me a little bit of comfort at first. They were clearly supposed to signal a safe corridor, right? NOPE. One pumpkin was sitting right in the room with the monster... After that, I don't trust pumpkins and I will NEVER trust a pumpkin again in my life 🎃
Loved the atmosphere overall! Didn’t actually have to change my pants, but man, it was a close call.
🎬 P.S. I recorded my whole play!

All the scary parts are there 😅
Killer! Def creepy. Is there a max number of items found and an optimal number of Hallway transitions? Your ghosts were great man.
Thanks! So in current concept: one collected item (pumpkin) proceeds game progress (to toward goal object) by 2 points, and finding new area proceeds progress by 1 point. So the goal in game is to find exit door, and in current concept found items should help for that.
In current concept it is optional to collect items which helps the difficulty not to raise too hard in future areas before the end. I ran out of time to polish the concept and purpose of collectable items into more ideal concept, but also thanks for feedback and for the idea of collectable item sets as an achievement setup or similar.
Good job! I love hospital settings in horror games so I am a little bias now
Also peak enemy design!
Nice job! The hospital setting is very eerie, and I was definitely startled a few times. Those enemies with the sheet over their head are incredibly creepy!
