A great jam game, changing costumes to solve puzzles is a fun idea. I was able to beat it and enjoyed playing it minus a few frustrating moments. I just have some thoughts:

  • Having to restart the level from the beginning with the zombie is so painful because the zombie walks so slowly
  • I was stuck for a while at the part where the goblin can walk through boxes and there's a fan that pushes him off. There was a ledge there that made it unclear if I could jump and land there or not.
    • One good level design rule guideline is that you should never make an impossible  jump (or whatever) look close enough that the player thinks they might be able to make it if they time it just right and keep trying
  • While it's probably a good idea to have more than one costume available at one time, if the player gets stuck, it can be unclear what they need to do to progress. A little uncertainty is fine (we don't want to go full AAA and have the character tell you exactly what to do) but if there are like 4 costumes and a few potential directions to go, the number of possibilities increases exponentially and can be overwhelming
  • One bug I had was getting stuck behind the police car as the zombie and only being able to move left and right

Neat game, I really liked how the music was very location-specific.  how did you pull that off?

Felt a lot like a lego game - get a different costume with different mechanics and solve a puzzle.  Would have been nice if it was a less 1 costume -> solve the 1 puzzle, but I didn't make it terribly far.  I got stuck with the viking costume trying to jump on the crates.  I kept falling off and the viking can't seem to jump high enough to get back on top.

Was getting the ninja costume in the 2nd level for something?  I wasn't sure if it was for the next room and when I entered, the costume was gone.

Overall well done, with some minor gameplay fixes it could be great!

Interesting idea for a game and loved the party music. I wasn't any good playing the game but I liked my experience all the same.

Got the goblin costume but was not able to proceed after passing the hedge. Other directions were severely limited. Probably I missed something to get further.

Liked the idea and the dynamic music.

The theme was a core element here, smartly combined with the Halloween party setting.

took me a while to realize i could jump higher with the costume off to get past that fountain!

Very creative with the costume switch and the need to switch costumes to move forward. I would welcome more check points in the room not to start the whole level again.

Overall very nice game idea. Well done.

Hey, great job on this one! The controls feel nice, and the costume-switching idea has really strong potential 🥷

I love that each costume could have its own abilities. The ninja looks great, and the imp being small enough to slip into tight spaces is a really clever touch!

One small idea: speeding things up a bit (movement or pacing) would make it feel even more fun to play.

Really nice work! If you get a chance, I’d love for you to try mine too: Uninvited Chickos, a Halloween rhythm runner with two chickens escaping a goblin feast 🐔 Feedback and ratings are very welcome!

I got stuck in last level cause I dont know where I need to go. Teleports me to somewhere at building but there is nothing. Funny idea though for puzzle. 👍

In the warehouse? with the convayers in the background, I got stuck in the gap below, I assume retroactivly that I was supposed to push the box into the gap? Not sure, but I got softlocked and called it.

I wanted the game to be a bit of trial and error, so you can get stuck/softlocked, if this happens you can Reset the level with the [R] Key.Thank you for giving my game a shot.

I fell thru the floor by the police car and couldn't figure out how to change costumes or do anything really.

Sorry, there was a bug that made the kid in the alleyway missing , 1.1 has fixed that and the falling through the level near the car.
Now that the kid is back you can just walk up to him and press [X] to beat him up , then press [E] when near the costume to wear it.
thanks for trying out my game, hopefully the bugs are all fixed now.
