It’s a really cool idea with the thermometer, the atmosphere is great and the music is on point. Also, check out my game.

What a visual masterpiece. Looking forward to some lore. I don't know where, but I managed to walk into 1 of the buildings and fall off the map. Looking forward for the next update!

You've really created a great atmosphere here, mechanics feels good to use, great work!

That is a bit of a dark twist for this limitation. The concept is really nice! The place around feels sad and empty which I imagine was the idea so good job on that!

The items are placed so far away from each other however that it is difficult to survive even one night. Although probably not impossible.

Immaculate vibes, both in the look and sound of the game. It would have been nice to have a little bit of lore or even to know where we were heading instead of just wandering in the cold but that's a personal preference. Really nice work though!

Because of the overblown work plan, we simply did not have time to do everything in too short a time. But the game is being finalized and we are currently thinking about these pressing issues for us!!! Thanks for the feedback!!)

The game turned out really well! The models are pleasant to look at, and the city is an interesting place to explore.

I should also mention that the game immediately reminded me of an older game called Beneath the Cardboard. I don't know if it was actually an inspiration, but I definitely got a similar vibe from it =D

Here are a couple of things I'd consider improving:

  • The game page explains everything quite well, but I'd love to see the game itself introduce the mechanics and controls. That way, players can learn everything they need without having to rely on external instructions.
  • I'd appreciate having an option to adjust the sound volume in-game, without having to change the volume of the entire system.
  • Players familiar with the game that inspired this one might worry that they won't get much of a new experience out of it. That could make some of them lose interest before giving the game a proper chance. I'd love to see the game establish its own identity early on, acknowledging its inspiration while also showing players what new experiences it has to offer.
  • Although autumn wasn't a mandatory part of the jam, I would have enjoyed seeing it explored a little more. This is mostly a personal preference, though, and the game more than satisfies the mandatory "Stay Warm" restriction.

Overall, this is a pretty good result for such a short development period. The two-person team clearly worked well together!

Great job, both of you! ❤️

Hi Nekkka!

It's genuinely impressive that you managed to achieve this level of smoothness in 3D, with such beautiful lighting, environments, and characters, all within the Mini Jam timeframe. That's seriously remarkable and shows a lot of skill! The way you play with lighting in the hallways is art direction at its finest.

I've been trying out several games from the jam with my wife, taking turns playing. She started with yours, and since she's not really familiar with the gaming world (she has a life, unlike us XD), she felt the game could have been a little more welcoming when explaining its objectives and mechanics.

I, on the other hand, really enjoyed that silent conversation between the game and the player, along with the slow-paced survival experience. But I also understand that this approach isn't for everyone.

I feel like you poured a lot of your own perception of winter into this game, and it really shows.

Thanks so much for sharing it!

Best!

Thanks for such a detailed comment, We really appreciate it. We went overboard with the map size and didn't have time to properly implement all the mechanics, but we are continuing development on the game.

The vibe of this game is really nice, but finding food was quite difficult.

Really nice art style. I got stuck a few times (but I did only try the browser version) and never found any food.
