Pretty well done for your first project, especially in such a short time! Don't give up on gamedev, and hope to see you soon in future jams as well!

Great job with this being your first game! It has charm and is a good base for you to build on to. Here are a few suggestions that help juice up the game feel. This things should come after you get the core gameplay polished, but it can often be overlooked and adds a lot to the game:
- As Toby mentioned below, Coyote Time is really beneficial for platforms. Both 2D and 3D. Definitely look into it and it'll make the gameplay more forgiving and fair
- If you want the jump to have a bit more air time, look into adding a slight hover when the jump is at its apex height. This is more of a personal game-feel suggestion, but I find it works great!
- Giving the player sprite some squish and bounce when it lands and jumps will add a lot of juice to the movement.
- Some little particle effects when the player does an action (run, jump, land) also helps juice things up. A little poof trail while they run goes a long way!
These are just some suggestions that are less about gameplay and more about how the game feels when you play. Hopefully it helps with this project or the next, but great work on this and keep it up!
Hi Agrim, for a first game made in such little time this is awesome! Being so early into your game making career and working as a solo developer on a 3 day game jam is crazy but considering that you've done well.
There are some obvious things I'm sure you'll improve on over time, mainly some of the collision being a bit off and a death box off the bottom of the screen would be a great addition. One more suggestion I'd make for a 2D platformer like this is the addition of "coyote time", if you're not aware of what this is then you can learn easily online. It is essentially a mechanic added to jumping functionality that gives lenience to the player when jumping between platforms. If they've just fallen off a platform and press the jump input a little too late we still apply the jump, it makes the player feel more in control and is something that is definitely worth learning about especially as a new developer!
Awesome work, keep learning and growing, I hope to see "second game" soon!
The looks of this was really cool but I definitely would have liked some sound effects and maybe some different animations (or even just flipping the sprite if you are moving left, etc).
A really solid base for a first game though!
i rated, but don't like games that don't have "wasd" as walk. But nice color pallet
I'm really impressed with what you've managed to make in such a small time frame, especially considering you are only just starting to learn Godot, for your next game you should try implement a respawn system as currently when you fall off the platforms you have to refresh your browser to respawn, other wise great job! Look forward to seeing some of your other games in the future! :D
An excellent first game—congratulations. It’s just a shame there’s no losing condition.
