I loved this game! It's the weirdest and coolest thing I've seen in this jam so far.

It was a little confusing at first, but after losing about 20 ants, I finally figured everything out ๐Ÿ˜ผ

The zooming in really felt magical! I thought all the little ants marching and enemy bug animations were done so well! I was confused with the gameplay loop. I couldn't figure out what to do besides just drag all the chips? I saw the note about the magnifying glass.

I really liked how everything looked when zoomed in. It was quite a sight watching the mantises go to town on the poor ants lol. I can only imagine how cool the magnifying glass mechanic would've been if you'd had time to implement it. As with most game jams, time always seems to get the bust of us, but what you've got here is a really cool concept with a lot of potential. Nice work!

I enjoyed it. Nice bg music, nice art style up close at least. Sadly next button was not working. What I would say is that forced zooming out was quite annoying. Also in the beginning I wasn't sure if I'm even doing something, since it started zoomed out and I did not see different ant colors. Actually i wasn't even sure if those are my ants or enemies. Also the goal is quite hidden. I did not see it up until I started to wander how long does the first level take. I would make it bigger, or put it over the food. Or under it as a health bar.  Also, I did not see the difference between the ants either. Maybe try adding bigger differences. The limitation was not there, but the idea of it sounds pretty cool. Still, good job :)

The zooming in effect and the close up art was so cool! The music track was also a banger. I did find the game a bit confusing but it was still fun!

Nice game. Like the art style and i found it very cool how you could zoom in to see all the ants. the only thing i would say is that it felt quite spammy and I couldn't find a use for the order of the bugs (maybe that's just me idk) Still amazing game

Nice title :D Obviously a lot of thought went into the game and I like the uniqueness of the storytelling and strategy! However it was kind of hard to understand what to do and I wasn't able to make it very far unfortunately

I like the bug's life idea and the "okay let's go" sound got a good chuckle out of me :D
I finished one level and then the "next" button did not work and I didn't really feel the impact of the different ant types except for the red soldiers, which were very visible doing most of the fighting :)

Thank you to everyone who gives our game a try!

As with many game jam projects, the game is a bit rough around the edges and hasn't been tested as much as we'd have liked. We barely made it to the deadline.

Our original idea was to make zooming in and out a core mechanic, with things changing or more enemies spawning when you zoomed out, but we ran out of time to implement it properly.

Still, we had a great time making the game and doing the best we could in such a short time.

A big thank you to the Comfy Jam team for hosting the jam. It was a pleasure to participate! ๐Ÿœ๐Ÿ‚
