Cute little game! I like the background art and watching the world change. The character art and fishing animations are nice too! And the music is a great fit for the game! It could be cool if there was a bit more to the gameplay as you progress to keep things interesting! Also, I noticed a bug where if you are mid-catch when the day ends, the catching minigame audio continues through the rest of the game.

I'm glad you enjoyed! And thanks for finding that bug! I'll be sure to sort it out if I ever give the game a second update.

I was trying to think of different ways to keep the fishing interesting but I thought it was better to keep it simple as time ran away from me a bit

Thanks for playing!!

I like the visual design of the game, and I can tell it was well-thought-out with all the various fish, leaves changing color, and the animation for casting the fishing rod. The design behind the fishing mechanics are clear and simple, as fishing in games often should be, allowing the player to enter a meditative rhythm. The log book was so well done as well, adding extra meaning to the player's experience. The music fits perfectly, with the Halloween remix of that one theme being an especially slick move in particular. The sound design is also quite good - I love all the various SFX during the fishing sequence. Great work!

That was fun! The finishing minigame was nice and cozy, and the logbook was a great way to add some replayability. I actually clicked on it before reading the tutorial after finishing the first day, as I was very curious. XD

I really like the little details, like the leaves falling off the trees as the days went by and the catch feedback, especially when it was a new discovery or special catch. The way the passage of time was portrayed was really well done too, with Oct 31 being my favorite. The pixel art in general looked great!

One thing I was curious about was how you decided on the difficulty of each catch. Were the smaller zones on the bars tied to rarer fish or new discoveries, or was it just random?

Nice job on this!

Hey! Thanks for playing and for all your kind words! The Halloween day was my favorite one to make so I'm glad its getting recognition!

The difficulty of each catch is determined by 2 things, the difficulty of the minigame is decide by a 'difficulty' variable tied to each fish, and the rarity of each fish is actually tied to their weight (found in the logbook) to try and make the game feel more dynamic
