Cool game. I searched the maze for like 10 minutes and rage quit after reaching a dead end after a long hall way. the game was a bit too slow for my liking, but other than that it was a good experience
I liked it! Everything surrounding the revolver, the sounds, the effects, and especially the pngs were really well-implemented and felt nice to use. The creaking sounds for the scarecrows were also a really nice touch! I feel like some sort of way to keep track of how many things you've found and how many are left would give the game some nice tension. I didn't know there was a goal besides reaching salvation before finishing the game once and seeing the collectable count, so an indicator that you can try to find all of the hidden items would've made the collecting aspect clear in the first run. Shooting the scarecrows was really fun, though! You've made me want to make an fps now.
Hahaha I'm glad you liked it. I felt that leaving it until the end would make the first run more mysterious and carefree, and the Score at the end just made replayability a thing while giving you something else to do (like a secondary quest). I will keep what you said in mind for a post-jam version though!
i'm not a very maze-person, but I finished and enjoyed this game quite well!! the cornfield atmosphere was really nice, adn the scarecrows only moving when you aren't looking made for some genuine jump scares. Finding the gun was super hilarious too haahha. Some music wouldve been nice though Super fun, creative, and spooky submission! :>>>
This felt like one of those haunted house attractions lol. Loved the little Shining Easter egg in there too! Man, those scarecrows actually got me a few times. Turning around and seeing one turn the corner was pretty creepy. I thought we were just having some spooky Halloween fun... until I found the gun. Then I knew it was going down XD
I liked how the scarecrows only moved when you weren't looking. Had me constantly checking behind me while wandering through the maze. The cornfield had a nice creepy atmosphere going on too. And I gotta say, shooting those scarecrows was pretty satisfying after they spent all that time scaring me haha. Fun little Halloween game!
Definitely became a cozy game once I got the gun :D

Very cool game! The scarecrows movement was quite spooky and shooting them felt really nice. I do also like the art style route u chose. However, I was missing some kind of a reason for why I'm there, why I'm going through the maze. Even a short story explanation would be nice. Granted, I'm a writer so I'm always looking for those things, but still it would be a nice little addition. Also some sort of music would be nice. Adding UI would also help, how many things did you collect or even what to look for.
Overall nice small game, nice usage of the limitation. Maybe you could make it longer, or add other levels, other guns or even other types of scarecrows. But great job with this one :)
Yes! I’m waiting for the jam to end, to get as much feedback as possible and then I’ll extend and improve the game with all these little and not so little suggestions (and some of mine too hahaha). It’s probably my first time finishing a game, and for two weeks worth of work I’m quite satisfied.

Lovely game that did have me spooked! The limitation was there and the theme fit for sure! Managed to get through pretty easy as I could just walk backwards at times and when you got the gun it was pretty easy. Might be scarier without the gun.

Pretty funny little game (I especially appreciate the Jack Torrance cameo). I just wish there was maybe some music and a little bit more of a challenge to this game. It's a great usage of the limitation though.
