So cute! Love how the art is done in the traditional medium! ☆

I love thisss!! It’s so warm and cozy (great for the comfy jam) and I love the amount of care I can see in the hand drawn art and hear in the composed music. Also all the effects give the game such nice polish. Very good kitty, pet pet pet pet pet-

Lovely lovely lovely game!

Hand drawn art and live recorded sound track +500pts! Pet the cat +100pts!

You went above and beyond, bravo! Keep making cool stuff!

Super cute cozy vibes! Thank you so much for not adding some sort of timer or countdown, I loved that I could just relax and go at my own pace.

The artwork was beautiful, and the meddling cat mechanic felt very genuine to the personality of every cat I've ever known. The tile-rearranging mechanic was fun, and got more challenging than I'd expected! And so many levels! Great job.

Great use of the limitation, though it did force a somewhat scatterbrained energy onto what might have otherwise felt like a more cozy puzzling experience. The sliding tile puzzles are a great match for the cozy autumn vibe. I liked it a lot!

I know you can just click the cat but like it's so goddamn adorable my mouse movements were automatically mimicking giving pickles scritches (stitches and scritches is such a cute name!!). So much character went into this game I cannot gush enough about the art and how good looking the theming is It feels SO cosy it's a must play for this jam for me.

Could totally see this doing well for mobile but that almost seems too obvi, after playing this I followed you because i'm excited to check out your steam game after the jam!

Ooh yeah! I noticed my 7 year old trying to pet the cat during testing, and was like "I need to put that in!"

I can't believe there aren't more quilt-and-cat games. (Of course Calico, the board game)

Absolutely loved this game! Puzzles were fun and challenging, the art was amazing, and the way you used the limitation was great! Amazing work :)

My partner and I loved this game! We just wanted to pet the cat all day! The concept is so relatable! We have three cats  who absolutely love to be a part of every task that requires no cats (we couldn't help including a picture of one of our three little babies, Lumi).

We did find one bug, where one tile slid off the screen repeatedly. I was able to slide it back on without any problem and complete the level (I've added a screenshot of what that looked like).

Also, the mobile port was fantastic! Such a well polished experience for only two weeks! Well done!

(Pickles is adorable!)

Developer(+1)

Ooh thanks! I'll look into that bug. And we love pet pictures!

Fun puzzles, and the cat drawings (and picture) are as adorable as they should be!

Can't fault this submission; an adorably cheeky cat, fun puzzles and an extremely cozy/crafty theme. Controls, art and gameplay felt very intuitive and satisfying! I love this game c:

I'm so glad it comes across as intuitive. It's the first thing I've made that my mom could play!

Hey an other game with hand painted assets! nice to meet you fellow painter 🤝 Thats a well made little puzzle game, didn’t feel the limitation of the jam that much though… maybe having the cat only misbehaving when we’re looking on the model would’ve make that limitation more integrated in the loop? I mean by that, we still have the petting meter, and when it’s high, when we open the book, the cat goes to put dirt all on our craft, dirt that we would have to clean, or work around for a while. Or the cat would mix up some pieces? Those are just some ideas that crossed my mind!

also, the vertical game format made me want to try playing it on my phone, really fitting the sliding mechanic too but.. the music didn’t seem to work on my android.. I figured you might want to know :/

But those are minors details, I really had a good time! Even got an A+! yey! 🎉

Developer(+1)

Thanks! And those are good ideas, I would like to point out that the cat does go down and re-arrange the tiles when you pull the map open. It picks some random ones, so it is totally possible that it puts them back too.  It does fewer when it is calmer too, so maybe you are very good at petting your cat.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, and even finished it!

Submitted(+1)

Ooooh my bad, I saw it going down but either my memory is worse than I thought and I didnt notice the changes, or I never got the map open long enough each time xD (Its also true that Ive pet the cat really well 😎) one other possibility on me not noticing, is that if the tiles to move are selected randomly, the cat might mostly mix tiles that we are not focused on nor concerned about. If that the case, the mixing would be more obvious and annoying (in a good way) if the cat priorized rightly placed tiles and/or latest moved ones! 🫡

Anyway, I will adjust my rating on the limitation aspect, as it plays a more important part in your game than I initially gave it credit for 🙂‍↕️

Thanks! You are kind!
But yeah, more could be done with it, to make it more obvious, and involved

lovely puzzle, great art style, and i feel your pain haha

any game where petting the cat is a core game mechanic is definitely up there

Developer(+1)

Ooh yeah, this is one of those "based on true events" stories but like.. less dramatic than they usually are.

Submitted(+1)

10/10 game cause I could pet the cat. I know the pain of my own cat wanting attantion so I adore this!

The art is amazing and the fact that its drawn non-digital is soo nice and so beautiful! You should for sure continue this as it feel like a fun pc/mobile game to play!

The theme and limitation is perfect too!

Developer(+1)

Ooh we could definitely continue it. There were a few more mechanics I had in mind, but especially for the jam we wanted to keep it less taxing and more accessible.

Submitted(+1)

Loved the game! The concept is really simple and straight forward and I really love the artstyle. It's so cute that you guys did the art irl and that pickles is real. Really enjoyed the game! Keep up the great work

Developer

Thanks! We had a stressful two weeks outside of the jam, so we wanted to keep the scope really small so we didn't stress.

Our artist is actually more comfortable with traditional art than pixel, so playing into her strengths (this is like the 3rd or 4th one with paper or canvas art)!

We may have a favorite cat already! No need to look farther for inspiration

Really love the style of the artwork and it was a cozy play. I like puzzles like these :)

(and please deliver some treats to your cat from me!)

Last Christmas I got really into Rush Hour, the slide puzzle. I've been itching to do one since.

Here is proof your treat made it to Pickles. He even let his traditional 4th nap get interrupted.

aw man I love Rush Hour!! Played it so much growing up. Your game definitely scratches that itch!

AND AMAZING!! Very glad to provide pickles some virtual treats!

I love Pickles <3
