I found the game quite relaxing and fun, and I admired how every piece of art was simple and functional. On the first day, I couldn’t figure out how to light the pot on fire, but I managed it later, so perhaps as a suggestion I’d say that the process for making the potion should be made more obvious.
The game looks good, but I couldnt really figure out the mechanics and ended up only making water potions ðŸ˜
Very cute game! Loved the art work and premise of shaking the cabinet to find ingredients was fun!
Laid back and chill game, very cute
I did have a little trouble with the ingredients, like knowing how they'd affect the potion's quality. The labels on the left perfectly describe them, but trying to read them while hovering my mouse over the object broke my brain. Part of it might be the unfamiliar font (although the hand-drawn style is very chic), but I think the biggest issue was that there wasn't much wiggle room when highlighting an ingredient by mousing over it - the candy is particularly troublesome with the gaps in its sprite
I think it might be nice to have an idea what kind or how many ingredients you still have in stock, although that might detract from the mechanics of jumbling it up and shuffling. I did find I wished I could press a key to refresh my ingredients, although this was a rather personal issue: my cat is sleeping on my mouse and generally making it difficult to play games today :P
I had fun! I dig your style and sense of humour. Good game!
The game features a highly stylized, absurd art aesthetic. However, I didn’t quite grasp the mechanics—specifically what the customers wanted from me, or what I was supposed to do with the cauldron after tossing all the ingredients into it. Furthermore, the Windows build had bugs that made it impossible to progress (the game would simply freeze after moving the camera, and the tutorial text would extend off the edge of the screen), so I switched to the in-browser version instead (which may have been updated more frequently).
This game is sooo fun. I had the same difficulty as another player where I didn't realise you can add more than 2 ingredients until a few rounds in lol. Thank god that ferret guy came back a second time so I could prove that this IS the best potion shop in the land.
I really liked how each customer was so interesting and had a lot of personality, and the dialogue was so funny. And the ending of throwing a party was cool :)
Cute lil game! The gameplay loop is quite satisfying, although I didn't quite feel like I needed any of the upgrades except for double money
