Possibly it's my testing laptop. On this machine, the game looks very dark, and the starting room has a dreamlike, almost dithered, quality which makes it difficult to recognize anything. Or maybe it is an artistic choice.

Anyway, the game starts strong with a classic opener as a reason the player has to investigate. The letter was a mysterious first hint.

But then the game seems to demand that I collect 56(!) pieces of trash. The door is locked and the inside of the side cabinet is black to me. I open the cupboard. Seems empty. But is it? I enter and get stuck.

While I can't decide what effects are coming from the game and which from my hardware, I quit. Sorry. Next time I'm testing with more powerful hardware.

I think your laptop is not the reason for your issues. This game is intentionally pretty dark, but there are light switches in every room and also a flashlight in the first room for the player. To open the door you have to find the key in the first room which is hidden in one of the drawers. After the Game Jam I probably add some brightness settings and turn the amount of trash down! Still thank you for testing my game and I hope that you maybe give it another try!
