I like your design, your characters and colours are really cute
Please don't take this the wrong way, but I thought the player's scarf was an arm and thought it was an unusual stylistic choice to Naruto-run around the house- before I realized I'm just a goof

The riddles in this game feel brutally difficult. I think the main struggle for me was that in order to get the password for the combination box you had to solve a riddle that required you to solve three other riddles. Thematically this is a good design, but if the player doesn't have any feedback on if they correctly guessed the inner riddles then it doesn't leave a good jumping off point to fill in the blanks with

The clock gave me some trouble: I wouldn't normally write 09:12 and favour 9:12, dropping the leading zero. It also wasn't clear if I had to include the colon or if the clues indicated the position of each number, and ultimately I had to brute force two versions of each combination in order to come up with the answer. You can probably remove a lot of the confusion by making the code entry four separate fields

Despite the frustrations, your game gave me good vibes. The portraits are awesome, and your characters are relatable. I think all of us could use a little rest to catch our breath

Good game!

Pixel art is very good, but I couldn't really see things well without fullscreen option. Also, puzzles are nice and somewhat confusing at the same time. Some more polish and it will be a very nice puzzle game! I hope you will continue to work on the game after the gamejam ends (ᵔ⩊ᵔ)

Really lovely pixel art! Unfortunately, I also got stuck in the first room and had to come to the comments because I didn't see the second door. If the player finds a key in the same room as an obviously locked door, they are of course going to think they belong together.

Map puzzle: I didn't know if there was a way to find out which coordinate was supposed to be used on the map, so I just guessed the first and second in order.

Clock puzzle: I saw the numbers in the books meant for the clock, but I just had to guess every combination of 0, 1, 2, 9 until I landed on the right answer, and I still don't know what "1 -> 0" means. I also don't know what "It marked minds" means, that's not a common phrase in English, at least not that I know of.

Combination lock: The riddles for the combination lock puzzle were oddly worded in English, though I understand they may have been translated. I figured out "Fable" and "Era" leaving me with "FA__ER" so I guessed random words until I got Father. "I share my utterance a Greek goddess" should be "I share my utterance with a Greek goddess", but even so that implies that the name and the answer are the same, not just that one is contained inside the other. "I receive all the everyday actors" is just strange and I honestly didn't understand it until after I solved the puzzle without it. "Everyday actors" kind of implies "actors that aren't famous", which seemed like a weird detail, as if a theater only receives non-famous actors, maybe?

The fact that the rooms change after arbitrary puzzles are completed feels unintuitive as there's no justification for it. The game would have been nearly the same if you just had the rooms connected normally through different doors, so the changing rooms feels unnecessary and only there to satisfy the limitation.

Also there is a door at the bottom of the rooms that does not seem to function, I couldn't tell if it was a bug or not.

Regardless, I am a big fan of puzzle games and there aren't many in jams, so this was a real treat!

Absolutely loved the artwork and dialogue! Really enjoyed the clock puzzle as well. I was pretty confused in the first room, but once I saw the other door, it was smooth sailing.

Yoooo the character art is so gorgeous!! I like how the different characters are highlighted in conversation. And there's a fun bit of humor in the dialog! I want to play more and meet the other characters but I fear I am stuck in the first room. I got the key but can’t use it on the door, and I see that there’s a clock puzzle and some notes but I’m not sure how they’re related. Also, the text box allowing you to type in anything is very open ended, so I’m not exactly sure what kind of answer it’s looking for. I will happily try again if I can get a hint or something lol (I wanna talk to the cute pumpkin character pls).

Thanks for the comment ! We did have other time constraints during the jam but we’re planning to keep extending the game later. For the door problem : there is another usable door in the room that is not locked (we need to work on making them morevisible). As for the clock, you need muliple clues, in different rooms.

I was able to reach the end of the demo! (with a little help from another comment - if only I was better with riddles haha) Very cute game and nice work once again! :D

Really cute game! I loved the character portraits especially. I think in the first room I got a bit confused because I got a key and it wasn't working on the door asking for a key, but once I figured out the clock things started coming together hahaha. Great work!
