Theme Interpretation
The general idea was that you send anttena signals to brainwash civilians, though in the end the main character also sends signals and the anttena is an upgrade :')

After we
also read the descriptionfigured out how the talent tree works we got to wave 21 before we succumbed :D nice oneVery fun gameplay! I think the theme could have played a stronger role, but I'm glad to see a mechanic around it. The art was really solid as well as the music. I got to wave 21 before deciding to change my strategy a bit and got suddenly overrun. Pressing space to convert the first couple of people was a little annoying, so I went for the auto-convert as quickly as I could, once I figured out I could buy upgrades. I should read game descriptions before playing.
Congrats to the team on your first submission to GWJ! This turned out great!
Thanks for the feedback!
Cool take on the theme, particularly like the art design! I think a good addition would be "ending states" for the game. Usually endless games can feel a bit "pointless" to rack up insane high scores, but having a different ending state depending on how well you play is an easy way to add extrinsic motivation for the person to have more fun playing!
Also, I needed to see the description to figure how to upgrade, was there a prompt in game for it? If not, a small tutorial could always help!
Nice work :)
Thank you! Yep, I totally agree, an end goal and a small tutorial would have improved it a lot. Thanks for the feedback!
Nice game! It kind of feels like, "Join us, because there are so many of us... or else!" o.Ó haha.
I think it has a really focused gameplay loop, which is a good thing! The art also does a great job of capturing that dystopian atmosphere, especially with the brutalist city design. Really nice work, I have to say! I didn't quite understand the upgrade system, but that's okay!
Peer pressure in a nutshell, haha. Thank youu and thanks for the feedback!
Love the cover art. Good game idea.
I wonder if it would be possible to have groups of people appear periodically, especially in the early stages, or people who would just stop by. I'm not sure how that would affect the game's balance...
Thank you! Oh that's a cool idea. Hmm I think it should be possible to maintain the same average number of people spawning while also creating some noise or some "pulses" to make it more dynamic. Would be interesting to test it out to see how that would change the gameplay.
I really liked this game. Had an incremental feel to it. I feel like maybe you have to convert people on 1 on 1 to win the game. But the civilians only overlap once so I felt like I am missing what I was suppose to do.
Really creative game!
Thanks! At the moment, you can really win the game, as it kinda goes into endless mode with upgrades and enemy waves, which eventually should overwhelm your cult. So, the goal is to survive as many waves as possible.
Clever idea either way. I like the upgrade nodes a lot. Nice work sir!
Delightful art style and concept for a game, very pleased :)
Thank you so much
Really cool art style, super thematic world. Plays well, nice work!
Thank you so much
This has to be my favorite take on the theme so far. It's also the game I've played the most. I'm in love with the Noir art style as well.
Minor feedback is that it would've been cool if humans who are brainwashed but go their own way because your team is full still attacked other blues on their way. I also think some visual indication for the tab shop would've gone a long way for very little screen noise.
Good job on your entry!
Thank you so much and thanks for the feedback!
Wow, the art on this is crazy cool. Love the take on the theme. Great work!
Thank youu!
Plays really well! Love the art and concept. Great job!
Thank you so much!
Interesting interpretation of the theme and fun to play with some great art and sound design!
Thank you!
I LOVE THE THUMBNAIL!! The art direction was lovely!!!
I think the upgrade tree would have been easier to navigate if locked upgrade were a closed eye and unlocked upgrades an open eye!!
Interesting use of the theme, and pretty fun game!! Congrats on making your first wild jam, this is a solid submission!!
Thank you so much! Having a closed eye for a locked upgrade was actually the initial idea, but I just couldn't make look good enough, so I got a bit lazy and decided to just change the opacity, haha.
hahahaha fair enough!!
Fun to play and great original idea
Thanks!
Nice! Love the art direction!
Thank you! "Papers, Please" was the main inspiration for the art direction
Extremely satisfying
Thank you so much!
This was very fun to play, amazing work!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it <3
