I was not expecting to get this scared when I first started the game, when the door started opening I was tense waiting the final seconds trying to keep it closed. Also on my second play trough, seeing the man on the window getting bigger was scary. I was just a little disappointed on not having a jump scare on the end or something when I porously let him enter the cabin.

You really did use your limited time well, using the images made the game have a rough, but unique, style that worked with the scary theme, I can see with a bit more polish and time it being a lot better. The audio design could use some work specially.

As other said, nice start. I was clicking all around hoping to find other things to stay awake. The dice game, I would've liked it to stop on its own, else it seems like i can influence the roll by stopping at certain time.

Developer

I take note of what you say for further update, thanks for your comment and play !

It's a nice start! Once you've got more time to flesh out more mechanics for maintaining wakefullness/entertainment, and for keeping the fire burning, you can dig into building in the narrative. Thanks for sharing!

Developer

That's the plan indeed ! Thanks for playing !

Hey nice aesthetic it does indeed feel spooky.  Thanks for sharing even in this early development state.  I like your 4 2 1 game did you come up with that?

Developer

Hey thank you ! No the 421 game is a real game, it's fun to play when you're not alone in a cabin in the woods :p

I like the spooky theme, the aesthetic is strong! I wasn’t able to roll the dice to 421 to see what happens after trying two playthroughs, but I still really enjoyed the atmosphere and text!

Developer

Yes there is a little bug for the 421 when you have no remaining rolls but it 'll be fixed for the next update. Thanks for your comment ! And for playing it  :D

It reminds me of some adventure games I used to play. I'm curious what's next. What happens when the player drinks, and what about that mysterious door? Good work on the dice game and spooky use of the limitation!

Thanks ! Yeah I have many idea for all of that but I haven't had the time to make it work before the deadline. For the door, it's already (in part) in the game but you have to wait in the night to see it ! :D

I get the idea but it feels very early in development right now, which matches my rating. I also didn’t understand how to raise wakefulness.

Developer

Thanks for playing but yeah, I just had the time to make it a prototype for further versions, but I will make them ! :)
