Pretty cool mechanic with very appropriate visuals. I like that the levels are inside a "box", implying the insides of an electronic component.

BEST GAME EVER. ONLY PROBLEM WAS THE LACK OF THEME CONNECTION

This game rocked my face! Music was a jam to and catchy game play. This was simple but a lot of fun to play, wish there were more levels.

Submitted

Simple and easy game that doesn't require anything from you!
Very good start for a single  developer participating jam first time.
Don't stop!

Developer

not my first gamejam, 4th i believe

Submitted

really nice concept, i really enjoyed the levels. it would be really nice to have more.
one thing I didn't like was when you fail a level you would have to wait until the spark travels back and in a game like this (at least in my case) I fail a lot so I spent a lot of time just watching the spark travel back.

Developer

would you want it to speed up faster or just instantly spawn back

Submitted

probably just faster so it still feels like a transition and shows information but at the same time it keeps players engaged. Actually Celeste developers talked about this exact topic in a youtube video, I would highly recommend you watch it.

Developer

the respawn waits for the death particles to fully finish so that prob slows it down more too

  • I like the particles
  • Cool level transition
  • The timer is a good add, it's definitely making me go "well why not try to skip a few sections"
  • The diode is a cool "hit the sequence as fast as possible" mechanic
  • The first level with the "press space to jump" thingy has a cool horizontal skip towards the beginning

I really liked this! Felt very good to play. I initially was a bit confused by the tutorial but it's one of those ones where playing around with it was really the best way to learn.

Having a leaderboard or a star system (e.g. three for super fast, two for normal, one for slow) could be a cool way to lean into making the player think about the fastest way to beat the level.

Pretty neat concept, thought the hopping mechanic was really cool and you really nailed the visuals and sound for the spark

Submitted

Nice and simple :)

One minor bug I noticed is while spark travels back to start it still can visually activate coil (maybe other components too)

Finished game, level 1 took most time to complete (I kept trying to double jump and hit wall on last jump :D )

Developer(+1)

yeah its a known bug, just didnt have time to fix it and it didnt matter untill the last level pretty much which was a throw away level for testing

Submitted

The puzzles were enjoyable and I really liked the little fierworks when the spark hit a wall.

I didn't understand the "press space" level,.

It wass fun and kept me trying until I solved until then :)

Developer

this was my testing level that i threw in at the end, if i had time there woul be better spacing between the mechanics and more explanation on each one

Submitted

Cool concept! I like how interesting it is for how simple it is. Makes for a nice challenge, and being able to find faster ways of completing a level gives a good reason to retry and think about the layout. Between that and the extra elements you show in the last level, it feels like something that could be refined into a game beyond the jam!

The one thing I’d want to see change specifically is the player visuals: right now it’s not fully clear where you are on the wire, not precisely.

Developer(+1)

yeah there should be at least a small yellow dot where the body is that i forgot to add

Dylan and I played your game and really enjoyed the puzzles! They were fun to work through and kept us engaged.

Feedback: One thing we would have appreciated is the option to adjust the audio volume or mute it entirely. The audio can become a little repetitive over time, so having these options would help improve the overall experience. :)

Developer(+1)

ran out of time to add anything else, the song is rushed too found first somewhat loopable part and shipped it

Submitted

That's fair, I know how you feel. At least your game is playable in the browser XD

Submitted

I'd never played this type of game before, and I think it's a total success. Both the animations and the audio fit together perfectly.

The gameplay might seem simple, but it gets quite complex, and new mechanics are added as you progress. Great job!

Submitted

I had a lot of fun playing this! I think it's a great idea.

Pretty neat game, the concept was pretty intresting. Par times (bronze, silver, gold) could be a nice fit for the levels to encourage better times.

Submitted(+1)

Fun, fast-paced, and challenging. Some of the timing for jumps felt incredibly tight, but it was a solid core mechanic, and I liked the gradual introduction of extra mechanics such as diodes.

Submitted

Quite challanging! I really liked how you incorporated diodes, transistors, and multiplexer(?) (not sure if it was a multiplexer, a capacitor, or something else haha). Very good entry!

Developer(+1)

the coil is supposed to be a inductor,  the cylinder is a capacitor

Submitted

it did look like a capacitor, but I wasn't sure because the multiple connections around it and the fact that you choose the direction you're going to also fit the concept of a multiplexer hahaha. Well done!

Submitted

When I was younger I would have played this a long time haha. Nice flow with the jumping, it was fun to plan my moves out.

Submitted

I thought this was really fun! There's a lot of opportunities to jump wires early and really shave off seconds, and the levels are short enough to encourage giving them more than one try. With more time, some more options, like a level select and getting to see the times you've already gotten, would go a long way. As a one person jam entry though, this was awesome!

Developer

i barely finished at 10 minutes left, i wanted all those things you mentioned so there is point in geting better time, i specifically designed the levels where you can get quicker routes but more risky, wanted more levels too at the end there are 3 mechanics that dont get used nearly as much

Submitted

Oh I meant that you provided a lot of opportunities for the player, I had a great time with it!
