if i purchase this here will i also receive a steam key at the time of release on steam?
Yes, it will be tied to your Itch account and when I connect Steam to the game's Itch page, the key should automatically become available. "Claim Steam Key" button will appear in your purchase history. And if there are any problems - you can always reach out to me and I will give you the key manually.
