Hey now, if you look in the Images 4 Images Sake thread I (plus many more users, plus the odd one from the very special guest Dr.Muramasa) post at least every 3 days and animations can found on X (at least one a week) - Though I will mention again after 1.9 this will more or less stop as I focus on my own project. (Not plugging, just answering)

Word on the street is Kal was looking at introducing more expressive characteristics to the character sprites in game so this "could" be the cause. - Speculation & Rumour

Then why not say 1.9 will drop before GTA still 🤔I think it is logical to assume 2.0 and the Steam release will bleed into 2027 now...
I haven't checked the Discord in a while, but I think I remember Kal mentioning how the GTA 6 post was referring to the "GTA 6 PC port", not the console port. The GTA 6 PC port is not expected to release in November, to my knowledge. This could also be why Kal has continued saying the 1.9 update has a "2026" release date instead of a "GTA 6 release date". h7yuan said something similar, but I might be wrong.
I really hope Kal isn't trolling about this, but I know that he has been known to troll in the past.
I am putting my expectations at literally New Years, and I am hoping for a Halloween or GTA release date.

Anyone reading that tweet would jump to the conclusion that 1.9 would release before November 19th.
If Kal is still dealing with personal matters, that is fine and they take priority before the game. But ask a mod to jump on itch and add a post that the eta is still 2026.
