First off, the way the sense evolutions change the graphics is lovely both in idea and execution.

Some suggestions:

The UI really wants an option to hide maxed upgrades. The lists get long and you have to scroll past everything every time.

The game presents plant and predator as equal options, but there isn't near as much support for the plant lifestyle. Size categories are measured in what you can swallow, there is no instinct for staying in sunbeams, you're always reliant on mobility and the spike specialization isn't very useful since predators are easy to avoid and you can't eat what you kill. The events besides sunbeams are also geared more towards predators.

Thank you! I'm really glad the sense evolutions landed, that was one of my favorite things to build.

You're right on both counts. The next update adds a "Hide maxed" toggle to the upgrade lists, and gives the plant lifestyle a lot more love:

  • Plant pieces bigger than you are now grazed a bite at a time, and the longer you stay on one, the more each bite is worth (herbivores most of all).
  • A new Kelp Raft event: huge fronds to settle on and graze, while predators circle.
  • Predators that take a few spike stings now back off instead of fighting to the death.
  • Instinct basks in Sunbeams if you can photosynthesize.
  • Growing makes herbivores safe from smaller predators, and the size text no longer assumes you swallow everything.

Wonderful feedback, thank you!
