I really liked the atmosphere you’ve created here. The warm lighting, old furniture, and environmental details make the room feel believable, and hearing the fireplace before the visuals even finished loading was a nice touch.
I spent some time exploring the different interactions.
I could adjust the TV, tune the radio into several broadcasts, rotate the photographs, and match the grandfather clock to the pocket watch to trigger a chime.
The radio was probably my favorite part.
The old-fashioned broadcasts were interesting, especially the one discussing things that sounded surprisingly modern in such a vintage presentation.
Where I struggled was understanding how those discoveries connected. Matching the clocks produced a sound, but I couldn’t tell whether it changed anything. I also couldn’t find a meaningful result from adjusting the TV or rotating the pictures.
I got the impression there was a larger puzzle here, but I never found a clear path through it.
I also experienced some significant performance issues in the browser.
The initial load was lengthy, and turning on the radio caused the page to become unresponsive long enough for the browser to offer to terminate it.
It eventually recovered, but the interruptions made exploration less enjoyable.
Overall, I think the environment and audio are the strongest parts.
I’d love to see clearer feedback when a puzzle interaction succeeds, and a stronger sense of how the individual discoveries connect.
There’s a nice atmosphere here, and I think making the puzzle progression easier to recognize would help players appreciate what’s already been built.
Love the interactive genre.
Thank you for playing!
really atmospheric and cool puzzles, both enhanced by the interactivity in the controls! i really liked this!! nice job!
Thank you for playing!
very fun, havent seen a mist-like in a while. great vibes. i got the pictures, clock, tv, but 'flip his song' i couldn't get to trigger - was trying sol fa mi do sol do and other variations
Thank you! It was the first time we did something like this, so we were a bit overambitious! Still happy you enjoyed the vibes, but the 'flip his song' was a radio frequency that played the jingle backwards. There was also another piece of the puzzle that was sadly just a bit out of view, the antennas needed to be flipped down for the other ending.
Thank you for playing!
Yo this is awesome! The atmosphere you made was really ominous o_0 I couldn't really figure out the puzzles other than the clock. A little more direction would be nice, but overall, this was super cool! Great work :))
Thank you for playing! I get you, I think an initial hint to guide you to tune the TV might've been necessary, if you tuned it right you would then start the puzzles in order.
Glad you enjoyed the atmosphere!
I enjoyed the vibe, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out what to do. I only found that you can sync clock on the wall with clock on the chair and it makes it ring, but it doesn't seem to do anything else
Thanks for playing! You needed to tune the TV first, we should've added in a small piece of text to guide you to that initial step. After that you can follow along with the hints!
A little John 3:16 to help with the unsettling feeling haha. I enjoyed thanks!
Who doesn't like a little bible in their radio frequencies :D Thank you!
I liked it a lot. Audio work is great! I couldn't figure out how to play the tune backwards, I tried it, but nothing happened. It felt like there was a way to escape the man in the tv, but I did not find it.
Thank you so much! It's a specific frequency, but there's also a requirement with the antennas that is sadly a bit out of frame :( Really appreciate the review!
Incredibly atmospheric! The controls were a bit fiddly - especially anything to do with turning, like dials - but I liked the timing of the hints, as they were delivered just when I started to feel stuck. I had a couple of issues with audio triggering twice (I think I completed a puzzle, kept going, then completed it again in rapid succession) and might have got softlocked on the tone puzzle because I was messing around with it too early, but I really enjoyed my time with this game.
Thank you so much! I see your point on the controls, and thank you for playing our game! We did have some more red herrings to add, but I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
I like the aesthetic you were able to create and felt like I solved a few puzzles, but I'm not really sure if I understood what the overarching goal was! Still had fun clicking around and experiencing the world though.
Thank you so much! Yeah, I get what you mean, it's one of the parts that could use some more fine tuning, but I'm glad you enjoyed the ambience!
Oh, also probably worth knowing in case you continue working on the project, the clickable area on some buttons didn't seem to line up correctly with the graphics. It wasn't too crazy to figure out, but it seems like you might be using control nodes that either aren't properly aligned or that are slightly smaller than the illustrated knobs and switches they are designed to target. Especially noticeable on the TV for me.
