Really liked the game! When I started playing and the graphics kept getting better and better to symbolise the creature's evolution? Brilliant.
I thought the DNA and biomass were a bit slow to accumulate at times, and I noticed that on auto mode, the creature would often kill another creature but then wouldn't eat the remains, which limited its ability to grow (even when I had every instinct and genome at 100%).
It was mostly just running around, using dash to go seemingly nowhere, eating plants/tiny balls along the way, and sometimes bumping into other creatures until it killed them, only to run off again. Poor little thing had absolutely no survival instincts despite me maxing them all out haha.
Also, as someone else mentioned, predators became a bit too easy to deal with. Once my health reached around 2–3k, I could just keep ramming into other creatures until they died. And if my health got low, I'd simply move away, regenerate, and do it all over again.
Once my health kept increasing and I unlocked the spikes, it practically never dropped below 7k out of my 8k total, even against Leviathans! At one point, I was just casually killing random cells when a pop-up appeared telling me I'd killed a Leviathan, and I was like... WHO?? WHERE?? 😭
That being said, I genuinely had so much fun watching my tiny little creature grow into an absolute menace. There's something really satisfying about starting off so small and vulnerable and eventually becoming the thing everything else should be afraid of lol
It took me around 5 hours and 30 minutes to finish the game with everything fully upgraded, and I enjoyed every bit of it. These are just a few little things I noticed along the way, but they didn't stop me from having a great time.
Thank you for making such a fun little game! You can really feel the care that went into it, especially with the visual evolution. I'll definitely be playing again!! :)
