The atmosphere and mood is excellent! The bike mechanic also works very well, I only thought that it was a bit frustrating how slow I was most of the time. But the environment kept changing so there was never boredom or anything like that. I think you could build something really cool out of this baseline with a bit more variety, but in itself it’s already a very cool little spooky expierence :) Enjoyed it a lot - great job!
Thanks for playing! The slowness is partly on purpose, since riding fast drains your stamina and makes noise. I hear you though, it can drag. Glad the changing road kept it from getting boring.
Really unique idea and very well executed. The sound design is superb and matches the PSX graphical style perfectly. I like how the Thirdwheel monster would follow you far enough away that it's hard to make it out sometimes. Sometimes I would look behind and couldn't tell if I could see the monster or if it was just part of the dithering effects. Very well done.
I saw you're adding a full version to your game on steam, Fragments of Fear. It will be interesting to see how this fits into the story. Great entry!
Thanks for playing! That’s exactly what I was going for, it hangs back in the trees at the edge of the fog, so you’re never quite sure it’s there. And yes, it’s coming to Steam as part of Fragments of Fear, so stay tuned!
i expected something less linear and a bit more open minded with that premise! feels like i am a car staying on my lane right now a little hahah!
but i loved the player controller, vibe, setting, mood overall. a little design tweak and that's super sweet game!
Thanks for playing! Fair point it’s one road from start to finish right now. Glad the controls and the mood worked for you, and a less linear Route 9 is something I’d love to try.
What a cool game, very creative idea and really good sound design, could be made into a full game!
Thanks for playing!
This was a great game, really liked the tense atmosphere! I didn't quite get what the bell was supposed to be used for but the game kept me on my toes throughout. I do think there were times the monster got me while I wasn't moving so maybe I didn't quite understand fully how it worked.
Really cool concept, but I feel like the mechanics could have been a bit more fleshed out with more going on the second half of the game. Im not sure if this was the case, but I feel like a focus on a stamina management system while this monster is chasing you, and utilizing more of the mechanics you give hte player as means to avoid it would have made it more fun, but it was still a cool and scary experience.
Thanks for playing, and for the thoughtful feedback! You’re right, the second half should lean harder on the mechanics. Stamina is there (sprint to outrun it, run dry and it catches you), but only a couple of chases really test it. Playing stamina, the bell and the light against each other more is exactly where I want to take it.

Thanks for playing! Glad the atmosphere worked for you. The bell is a panic button: it gives you away, but the monster clicks back so you learn where it is, and up close it makes it flinch. As for getting caught while still: stopping keeps you quiet, but it keeps creeping closer, and if you wait too long it comes to look. That clearly isn’t explained well enough, so thanks for flagging it.
I feel that the gameplay doesn't live up to the concept. There isn't much going on. I didn't notice the bumps on the road alerting the monster, nor did I understand why have a bell at all. If it had been shorter and the monster was around consistently this would have been a very solid entry.
Thanks for playing! The potholes and rocks do make a clunk the monster can hear but the game never makes that obvious so it’s easy to miss. The bell is meant as a risky tool: it tells you where the monster is, at the cost of giving you away. Fair point on the length and the monster’s presence too, I’ll keep that in mind.
It’s a pretty interesting concept. I liked the creature’s design.
Thanks for playing! The bent wheel for a face was the first thing I designed.
Great game, the atmosphere is absolutely amazing! The only downside is that there isn't much content on the road. There were only 2–3 chases throughout the whole game, and that was it. I also didn't really understand what the phone call was for. But despite that, I really enjoyed it!
Thanks for playing! The phone booth with the receiver hanging is just storytelling: someone was on that road before you and didn’t finish the call. No mechanic behind it.
