in my second, i got enough ak for a component that kept draining xm to build and ran out pretty soon, leaving me stuck with a ring about 500 lya. by the time i realised it, exiting into a mainline component would require me to refit the probes being built autonomously, which is why the refit button would flash available when there were none. i was able to click it at one of those time, so after several minutes of bottlenecking i was able to wriggle out. will subsequent playthroughs also provide as many exotic materials? i don't know if it's feasible to use them if so.

Yeah, this is something that might need some adjustments. I just uploaded an update which also removes the XM cost for downgrading to a regular module, so at least the retrofit should be easy to do. There are more ways to get XM later on...

Thanks for playing and the feedback, let me know when you made it to the end of the game!

forgot to congratulate you on how well the game works, i really enjoyed both times through but now my web saves have gotten wiped and i'm downloading it to try again!

how large are sectors supposed to be? in galaxy 4 i developed weapons to exterminate a cluster of 3 enemy systems, and have explored out to 50 lya from home but clicking the galaxy button still warns me there are 3 uncontacted planets, and i can't make a quantum computer system (initially thought it was due to the baddies, but after  over an hour of developing and expanding now it seems more like an error)

oh, that warning sounds like a bug indeed. it is fine to go on, the quantum computer can only be developed in the next galaxy anyway. will take a look at the messages and progression steps.

Thanks, downloaded 0.6.5 just to be sure and blazed through it.
