Shoots the guy

"Zero rating right there"

Shoots the guy again so he can't write a review

Haha.. It was hard to get the order right and I ended up putting the drinks on the floor because the toppings and drink keep switching when I try to pick them up. But I watched my husband play and realized I could put the toppings while the drinks are on the dispenser.

It's still tough, though. Will there be a reward at some point if you are able to serve the customers properly? Or does this game represent the harsh reality of customer service workers having difficult jobs with no reward, dealing with unearthly and rude people?

Hahaha that's a good way to make sure you get a 5 star restaurant! Recording the voice lines was lots of fun, glad you enjoyed them : )
We might develop this into a full game at some point. We'd probably have customers give more $ the faster you serve them and then have upgrades you can buy with the money..
But I like your view on the representation of the game jam submission... It is now cannon.

So cool!! Agree with what others said about it being tough but once I got the hang of it, it was a lot of fun! I also enjoyed the shooting part LOL great job!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed the shooting! I wanted to add animations to the gun and the customer when the get shot but we ran out of time.

I was a little confused at first, since I didn't immediately see the writing on the walls, but once I got into a groove it was quite fun! I liked how frantic it felt trying to manage everything while trying to get rid of the monsters! Very cool submission!

Developer

Thanks for playing and commenting! I had a friend play test the game a day before the original submission deadline and they were confused on how to do anything. With the extended deadline, we were able to add some additional things like the writing on the wall and interaction tooltips to guide the player. I'd like to add a bit of a training/orientation video to give more guidance to the player and add more story to the game.

ahaha it gave a lot of animal hospital vibes with the way the customers change, i also struggled a lot to put the toppings in. i think just a way to place the cup on the counter would've improved it. otherwise, good job!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I will try to implement a way to place items and add toppings. I've never played animal hospital, but the artist showed me some clips of the game as a reference for what she had in mind for our project. She was working on other models for the customer including accessories. We were going to have the customer change between different accessories/models, but we ran out of time so we pivoted to changing the color of the different parts of the one model we had.

Definitely struggled to figure out how to add toppings. Was fun shooting customers though!

Having people playtest will definitely be a priority of mine next time. I see now that the game is too hard . Thanks for playing. Glad you found shooting the customers enjoyable!

It's really cool but it's so hard 😭

Developer (1 edit)

We didn't get other people to play test it enough. We will definitely do this next time!
