Very calm soothing game. The concept is self explanatory and easy to understand. I had some challenges with moving the pages but then realized holding a leaf and hover over one edge of the book would flip the page.
Loved the "restart button == null" message at the end of the game. I also lacked a restart button but wasn't creative enough to leave a playful message like this.
Great work!

Hahaha that's a good way to make sure you get a 5 star restaurant! Recording the voice lines was lots of fun, glad you enjoyed them : )
We might develop this into a full game at some point. We'd probably have customers give more $ the faster you serve them and then have upgrades you can buy with the money..
But I like your view on the representation of the game jam submission... It is now cannon.
Thanks for playing and commenting! I had a friend play test the game a day before the original submission deadline and they were confused on how to do anything. With the extended deadline, we were able to add some additional things like the writing on the wall and interaction tooltips to guide the player. I'd like to add a bit of a training/orientation video to give more guidance to the player and add more story to the game.
Thanks for the feedback! I will try to implement a way to place items and add toppings. I've never played animal hospital, but the artist showed me some clips of the game as a reference for what she had in mind for our project. She was working on other models for the customer including accessories. We were going to have the customer change between different accessories/models, but we ran out of time so we pivoted to changing the color of the different parts of the one model we had.
I love the art, writing and gameplay. The audio was also chosen well and fits nicely.
I really appreciated being able to skip the minigames. Took me some time to understand that it is normal for all the characters to change appearance when you look way. At first, I thought you weren't supposed to serve them if they change. Both of you did a great job!
Love the art, music and mechanics. Although I found it a bit frustrating that the tool rotated around the player instead of at the center of the player. It made it harder to rake the leaves in the direction I wanted. I personally didn't have enough patience to complete the game. The cleanup took too long for me . I got the to the second yard and was happy to see that I got a more effective tool but lost motivation to continue after seeing how much bigger the yard was. Great job to the team!
The spheres were just placeholder items. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to replace them with something else. The conveyor belts were super fun to play with. I put a hidden button on the side of the store that would give you money each time you press it incase anyone wanted to build a something crazy with the conveyor belts
Hey,
Would you be interested in teaming up?
I've been working with Unity for almost a year and a half now. I've participated in 3 game jams. I mostly focus on the VR platform but I also have some experience with regular 3D.
Here is my discord if you are interested:

I've participated in 3 game jams so far but never been a part of a team before. I have just over a year of experience working with Unity and coding in C#. Most of my experience is with making VR games, but I some experience with regular 3D and have slim experience with 2D. Feel free to checkout my portfolio: https://updog97.itch.io/
For this game jam I want to focus one specific aspect of game development (coding, art, music) so I can focus on and improve that specific skill. I have some experience using blender and wouldn't mind focusing on that. I've never tried making music but I wouldn't mind focusing on that.
You can message me here or on discord Updog97#5842
