How did you use AI?
The whole game was built in one day as a conversation between me (game designer / art director) and Claude (Anthropic), working as an AI developer with a real code sandbox. - Code: 100% of the game's code (HTML5 canvas + JavaScript, no engine) was written by Claude from my design direction — village building, real-time construction timers, edit mode, arrow physics with fake 3D height, bot AI that dodges arrows and leads its shots, goblin AI (torch melee + dynamite throwers), matchmaking screen, saves. - Self-testing: Claude ran the game in a headless browser, simulated whole matches, took screenshots and looked at them to catch layout and visual bugs before handing me each build. - Asset pipeline: I gave it raw sprite sheets (Tiny Swords by Pixel Frog). It measured frames, anchors and 9-slice borders automatically, recolored the enemy team, tinted enemy buildings and built the tilemap auto-tiling. - Logo & lettering: the animated logo and banner are composed in code from the game's own sprites; the pixel lettering was designed by the AI glyph by glyph. - Localization: all UI text translated into 20 languages (incl. Japanese, Arabic, Hindi, Thai), with auto-detection. - My studio logo (vector) had a font browsers can't read — the AI converted the embedded glyphs into paths. There is no AI running inside the gameplay. The pixel art is human-made (Tiny Swords by Pixel Frog, credited).

How does your game fit the restriction?
Fully playable on phones in landscape: virtual joystick to move, drag on the right side to aim and release to shoot, and on-screen buttons for build, edit and battle. The canvas scales to any screen, and it still works with keyboard + mouse on desktop.

I could tell from the start that this was going to be a bit too deep and a bit too mobile for my attention span, but I wanted to comment to say it just looks really amazing and it's clearly a strong game underneath. As devs we don't have a lot of time in the day, so sometimes when I see something deep I go "Oh, oh no, I don't have time for this."

Your game provoked that response, which is generally a good thing. Most players are playing games because they do have time they want to burn on something, and your game looks like a very high quality effort to burn some time.

First of all, I'm sorry for the late reply!

Thank you so much for such a thoughtful comment! I really appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective, especially as a fellow developer.

I wanted to create something with depth, where players could build, develop their village and enjoy the combat system while gradually discovering more of the game. It's really encouraging to hear that the game gives that impression, even from a first look.

I'm still making improvements based on player feedback and preparing for the game's release on the Google Play Store, hopefully within the next week.

This will be my first game published there, and Google requires at least 14 testers to participate in a 14-day closed testing period before approval. If you happen to have the time, I'd be very grateful if you could join the testing group!

Thanks again for the kind words. Support from other developers means a lot!

Unfortunately I am unable to help as I have taken on a quest against "The Monster" Sundar Pichai for his removal of bean bag chairs and pool tables from the Mountain View Googleplex.

I wish you much luck! That's a crazy requirement from Google's side.... very strange way to handle spam. They should require 100 people to watch every video front to back before it gets indexed on YouTube. I would probably just pay people on fiverr if I couldn't spoof my way around that testing requirement.

First of all, I'm sorry for the late reply, and thank you for giving my game a try!

I'm glad you liked the visuals! I'm still working on improving the gameplay, and the battle system is definitely something I want to refine. Feedback like yours helps me understand which parts of the game need more work.

I'm preparing the next updates and aiming to publish the game on the Google Play Store within the next week.

Thank you so much! It really means a lot to hear that, especially as an indie developer working hard to bring this project to life.

I liked the mix of village building and combat! Unfortunately, the game froze after my first battle, so I couldn’t continue. I would have liked to see more of how the village develops. Thanks for sharing your game!

I'm happy you enjoyed the mix of village building and combat! I'm sorry you experienced a freeze after your first battle. That's definitely something I need to investigate and fix.

I'd also love to expand the village development experience and give players more reasons to keep building and progressing. Your feedback helps me understand what needs more attention.

I'm currently working on improvements and bug fixes, aiming to publish the game on the Google Play Store within the next week.

Only played on mobile- insane build for 1 day! It looks extremely polished and feels good. Problem is that after building the castle and the house I was prompted to battle and then a bug caused me to be unable to move at all or do anything. Will try again on pc later though as I think these kinds of games are super fun.

Developer

I noticed this bug—along with several others—along the way and went ahead and fixed them. I had to release an update because some people asked for it. Furthermore, this project is now being developed into a full-fledged game; a major update was released today. Thanks for playing!

Great game!  The adventure mode was a little repetitive and I couldn't figure out how to get character upgrades.  Here is my playthrough:

First of all, I'm sorry for the late reply, and thank you so much for playing and sharing your playthrough!

I'm glad you enjoyed the game! Your feedback about the Adventure Mode becoming repetitive and the character upgrade system being unclear is really valuable. These are things I want to improve to make the experience more enjoyable and intuitive.

I'm currently working on several improvements before the game's release on the Google Play Store, hopefully within the next week.

This will be my first game published there, and Google requires at least 14 testers to participate in a 14-day closed testing period before approval. I'd be extremely grateful if you could join the testing group!

Thanks again for taking the time to play, record your experience, and help an indie developer improve his game!
