love the art direction here; the scanner idea is nice, and the short story it tells is a nice touch.

but the inconsistency of interaction verbs spread across E, Q, LMB, and RMB for seemingly related/similar actions frustrated me quite a bit — remembering which button to press to drop, pick up, or use the item felt like a whole new game inside the game :D

What an interesting concept and so well executed too! I really like how you've done the package scanner. It made me feel like an actual detective inspecting criminal packages. Also the sounds of the man banging on the door scared the life out of me the first time - nice way to tie it into the horror theme!

If I was to make any suggestions for improvement, it would be good to have a mouse sensitivity slider. Also, the CRT effect on the monitor looked really cool but it made the text a little difficult to read. I'd maybe tone it back only a smidge.

But honestly, these are only minor improvements. Overall this is a such a unique and interesting take on the theme and very well executed. I love it, well done!

That was really good, I really enjoyed it!

Great little game! Well executed shipping warehouse sim where I could definitely see myself losing track of time on. I was dedicated to finishing all my packages haha. I enjoyed the build up of the packages becoming more worrisome, and the environmental effects that help keep the player on the edge of their seat. (The lights going out I thought for sure I was dead) But I would have loooved for there to be something that comes out of one of the boxes as I was kind of waiting for it. Maybe the little rat friend you briefly see climb into the conveyor belt made his way into a box? haha . I do agree that a little guidance on the controls would have helped as the player is left to figure that out for the most part

Overall a fun experience, great sound design and atmosphere of the level and some great potential for replayability!

Definetly a tutorial would help, or more explanation on the controls. Is kinda hard to get used to chaging between items and trying to grab the ilegal item is sometimes hard. But the rest, seems to be a super interesting concept that can grow into something bigger. Loved the art-style.

This is really charming aesthetically and I like the premise - also your game page is SO stylish! I had a tough time figuring out the gameplay though. I think this would benefit from a basic tutorial or tooltips/controls prompts on packages and knives and tape. I wasn't 100% sure what to do once I got into the game, but I really enjoyed looking around, and the sounds are REALLY good.

I am glad you enjoyed the aesthetics! Had to do a lot of wizardry with the assets I had on hand hehe

I updated the terminal with an instructions section since lack of instruction was completely overlooked lol

I love ps1 style games! The game resembles the "Backshot roulette" style, and it's really cool. The gameplay is also fun. The animations and interactions are also complex and cool. I really liked the idea of such mechanics. I love games where you can touch and drag everything.

Developer

Glad you had fun despite a good amount of jank I had behind the scenes!

The game can use some improvements in movement and handling, sometimes the camera wouldn't move when I was moving the camera, also it would be good to put some clear instructions, it took me a while to find out how to actually send the packages. Also, I lost all of my knives and couldn't continue the game at some point :(  Keep up the good work

Developer

Appreciate the feedback! I definitely need to give more instruction and fail safes, some of my playtesters ran into these issues as well😬

OOC which version did you run into the camera issue? I noticed it with the web build right before submission but want to confirm other platforms are seeing the same issue 🫠

Amazing job! I love the low poly aesthetic. And the game loop was super satisfying, I would play a full game just based around that.

Developer(+1)

Ty for checking it out! I definitely want to expand it further so stay tuned~

Oh yeah, also forgot to mention but I found a bug where if you pick up the tape/knife while holding a large package, it can get stuck in the table and can't be picked back up. Only happened to me once though.

hey i actually got hooked on this loop

I feel the presentation was super simple and compelling, and the loop itself was satisfying seriously!

im a sucker for OS type game and i liked the fact that it was a zoom toward the screen instead of a fullscreen UI appearing!

i can see the loop of seeing through package content being expanded into a longer game! super cool

Developer

I am glad you got hooked!

Happy to hear the OS was well appreciated! I spent waaaaay too long trying to figure how to make that work before I ran into Godot's sample implementation lol
