that's what I thought! fixed a couple of offset-by-one-tile doors yesterday (due to two-tile walls that draw above the bottom cell), but found a couple more today and wrote a test for it, so it doesn't happen again for new changes.

now I hope that you can experience the full story!

thank you! I'll check Mazeophobia later since I'm on a Mac right now and there's no web version. looks nice judging by the screenshots, though!

love the art direction here; the scanner idea is nice, and the short story it tells is a nice touch.

but the inconsistency of interaction verbs spread across E, Q, LMB, and RMB for seemingly related/similar actions frustrated me quite a bit — remembering which button to press to drop, pick up, or use the item felt like a whole new game inside the game :D

nice unusual mechanic (for a horror :D) that is executed well. janky transitions between different animations added to the uneasiness!

thank you! we had to cut a lot of corners in order to meet the deadline lol.

(you might have noticed that there's an unused "crouch" button, because the initial plan also included enemies and levels where you need to sneak around them, also using the same puzzle mechanic)

we want to add all that cut content/features into the game later.

(1 edit)

quite simple game loop, but a very well-polished game! the last days are quite eery.

had to adjust to the handling of the knobs after years of Ableton Live though lol

the soundtrack deserves a SoundCloud upload!

nice art direction and audio; loved how the dithering effect works on the flashlight!
enjoyed the story as well!

love the vibes!
player's inner monologue was disappearing too fast; I wasn't able to read the thoughts about blue light and something childish in time...

really nice core loop!
I was initially a bit confused about the "night ended" message after the clock passed by just an hour, but that's ok :)
after 11:00, when the ambient light almost entirely goes away, the stuff gets scary quite fast!

thank you!

thank you very much! and so sorry to hear that you weren't able to finish the game :( we'll try to fix it in the next patch!
were you stuck in the transition animation staring at the black screen, or just went out of bounds with the old map visible but nothing going on?

thanks! using the limited palette (in our case, fruitpunch24) really helped with that!
