I enjoyed all the destruction, but it slowed me down and caused me to fall behind the others, so I only finished in fourth place. I think it would be great if the game rewarded destruction—for example, by offering a choice between completing a full lap or taking a shortcut by smashing through a wall. Otherwise, I didn’t find anything that really sets this game apart from other racing simulators. Also, it would be interesting to compete against other players in a multiplayer mode.

Thanks a lot for playing, and for such clear feedback: it went straight into the next update.

Destruction also pays now:

Everything you smash fills a boost meter (Shift, or A on a gamepad).

Also, in 0.2.0 adds local split-screen for two players (press F2), on one keyboard or with a gamepad each. Online play is a much bigger job; it’s on the list, but I can’t promise it yet.

Thanks again! If you give 0.2.0 a go, I’d love to hear whether the shortcuts feel worth taking.

Wow, that was fast! It's almost like I predicted your next update! This really makes the game feel more alive.

You could also add a leaderboard to let players compete with each other. It's actually pretty easy to implement, at least in Unity. I added one to my own game using LootLocker, completely for free.

By the way, I'd really appreciate it if you could give my game a try and let me know what you think!

Took your advice! 0.3.2 is out with DAILY RUN (the same six stages for everyone each day) and a score at the end of every run. The leaderboards are built on LootLocker, as you suggested, and go live as soon as I switch the service on. Thanks for the push!

The leaderboards are live now, on LootLocker as you suggested: every run ends in a score, DAILY RACE gives everyone one race on the same track each day, and LEADERBOARD on the title shows all time and today's daily. And what you asked for first is in 0.4.2: there are walls right across the road now that cost a few percent of your speed and pay a third of the boost meter, so going through is the fast way. Thanks again for the push :0)
