Very cool, really great presentation on this one, also I love mecha so that's +1 for that.

I was a little confused by the power mechanic; I didn't understand that I was moving power FROM the reserve INTO peripherals using the crank, and not draining the power overtime (like FNAF) and using the crank to generate it. The power in this game is like a fuel you have to move rather than electricity which really threw me for a loop, because birdie refers to it as "power" (like electricity) not fuel you have to crank to move. Though some of this confusion might be because I'm an EE irl. It may be more intuitive if the jacks only had two wires instead of a third that connects to the crank; have one jack labeled (IN) and the other labeled (OUT), that way it's clear you're connecting two points and the crank is only to move the "power" not generate it.

thanks so much for the detailed feedback!

figuring out how to convey how the power system worked was really really difficult and the tutorial is easily the game's biggest flaw. if the information fed to the player was too specific, it was too overwhelming, but if the information is too simple, it can be interpreted in more ways that it should be. and even after some playtesting we never quite found that sweet spot

if we were to do this again, i'd probably rethink the whole game structure to slowly introduce the mechanic in a way that is immediately understandable!
