This was fun! I love that style of "keep an eye on lots of different things" games. And the graphics were really accomplished considering the time you had to make them!
Thanks! I have to thank my collaborator saragichi for the art. Until Friday morning I was working entirely with emojis and stock art and I am very glad the game ended up looking a lot better than that.
Cool game, thank you.
I like that you included historical facts in the introduction.
Noticed that I could perform the activities (=> accomplish the task and not waste time) even though there is an active alert about the breadcrumbs. Not sure if that is intentional or the implementation is missing. But it did make the game a little easier.
Unfortunately in some playthroughs no matter how much I vacuumed, the alert didn't go away. And I could not see any remaining breadcrumbs. Maybe the crumbs can be highlighted somehow to make it easier?
Good luck!
Breadcrumbs on an object should make the specific object react slower the more dirtiness builds up on it. They should not affect others. Only when the dirtiness bar is completely full you should not be able to use that object until it is fully cleaned. It is a way to make periodic cleaning more important, while also making it riskier to eat the sandwich if some object is already quite dirty.
The crumbs do get hard to see but I could not find a better way of presenting them without removing them entirely in favour of splotches of dirt (more readable but less accurate). I will look into maybe making them bigger or having a clear black outline in case I will work on this any further.
Thanks for the feedback
This was great fun, if a bit unforgiving! The intro really set the scene well.
Thanks! I really wanted to make it more of a surprise in the intro. I tried finding some names that didn't give away the corned beef "twist", but I could not come up with a better intro than this. Glad you appreciated it
Oh my!
That was so surprising and fun. Well done. I need to go back and make sure I’m using both by hands. It is a sweet and simple interface. I like it.
Thanks a lot! And yes, using both hands is almost necessary i fell given the current balance. I will think of ways to make it more obvious if I end up updating this
Amazing how simple and still challenging it is... that's why I love your game: I know exactly what I should be doing, despite the crazy randomness. Maybe a little too hard.
thank you! I am glad that you found it simple and straightforward while also challenging!
The humour! The stress! Glad we had two sets of eyes to beat the hard hard task of neither fainting nor being busted!
Love the hardcore silliness articulated here, as well as the crisp sound effects and the inclusion of historical audio. They likely weren’t pressing star and green in orbit, but this game enriched my life. ^_^
you made me blush a lil. thanks :)
Mission accomplished. 😁 Very nicely done.
Really well executed with a great sense of humour. I like the way the tasks are randomised each time. Great variety in the jobs - having to clean all the crumbs after a while is a brilliant balancing mechanism.
Only complaint is I found it pretty hard.
Thank for the praise, and a very valid comment about difficulty!
I struggled with balancing as the scope grew a bit past the initial tasks I had in mind. I couldn't come up with a reliable way to tell how hard the game was getting and just winged it. Another victory for the unsung heroes of playtesting
Very fun, great job! I think the premise is hilarious and the gameplay fits perfectly. Well done :D
thank you for playing and for the nice feedback!
Had a lot of fun with this one! I love funny historical situations like this and it works really well in this hectic gameplay! The difficulty might be a little high but it's a fun combination of mechanics! :)
Thanks for the nice feedback! I regret not making it a bit easier for sure, but I found it hard to fit proper balancing within the time frame, so it got sidelined a bit too much.
This one was lots of fun. Obviously, very funny premise, and fun gameplay! Really enjoyed having to use both hands, and found it surprisingly difficult to manage all of the tasks! Also enjoyed the presentation and intro cinematic. Great job!
thank you, glad you enjoyed it
