Thanks so much for checking out False Tracks and for the kind words! I really liked NEW JOB — the basement security-room setup in the closed Meridian Mall is wonderfully tense, and the idea that the system is listening to every breath, vibration, and mouse click made me genuinely second-guess clicking anything. The CRT terminal look and that dry onboarding form sell the night-shift dread perfectly.

Is it normal that the more I click in rapid succession the more distorted the screen gets until I stop clicking?

Developer(+1)

Yes, that's completely intentional! As mentioned at the start, 'they' can hear everything—even the sound of your mouse clicks. Making too much noise in rapid succession alerts them and distorts your perception, so you need to click carefully and stay quiet

I played it to the end and my thought : What happened? Lol. It looks like a fun game and polished game, but i don't  understand and just clcking randomly to the end. The only thing i know is the solitaire mini game. Haha...
Btw nice CRT shader. During holding breath i spoke loudly but the mic didn't catch anything. Anyway, i think if you add a pulse sound when the meter goes up will bring more tension. Good submission!

A terminal-style night-shift horror where the security system monitors every click of your mouse is deliciously paranoid. The opening, with the interview ending ten minutes ago and the door locking behind you in a closed mall basement, is a gripping first beat, and the retro CRT atmosphere sounds right on.

If you get a spare ten minutes, I'd love for you to try my jam entry, Forever. It's a sweet-talking dating app that's a little too attentive (headphones recommended!). An honest rating would mean the world to me!

I’ll give it a try tonight!

Not sure if it was actually supposed to check my mic or not but I held my breath :D
