The trust system took a lot of time to develop, so I'm glad you enjoyed it. The love potion increases trust by a fixed amount each time it's used. It doesn't increase it a lot. I wanted to avoid a system where you could buy trust with money. Using it every time will just unlock the final quest.
I've heard a lot of feedback about the consumption rate. I plan to address this by adjusting skills and items.
