Reminds me of Don't Starve Together. Fits the jam theme perfectly, and it's just fun to play.

Thank you! Don’t Starve Together is one of my favourites and exactly what I had in mind when I started Last Warmth. Now to bigger challenge is finding a voice of his own for the game

Played it in a 1280x900 browser window. Two measured notes, both about the frame rather than the game itself.

The canvas comes in at 1280x720 logical and 1280x720 displayed, so everything is pixel-crisp with no upscaling blur. That is rarer than it should be in this jam.

The one thing worth knowing: your entry is submitted to eight jams, and itch stacks those "Submission to ..." badges down the right edge of the page. On my window they covered roughly x 1010-1270 from the top of the canvas down to about 130px into it, which sits right on the end of your day/night bar. Also, the itch header is about 300px tall, so a 720px canvas ends past the fold on a 900px-tall window: the hotbar and the "Keep the fire" card were below the screen until I scrolled. A nudge toward the fullscreen button on first load would fix both at once.

The dawn/day/dusk/night bar with the fire's warmth circle reads instantly, and "keep one fire alive" is a premise you understand before anyone explains it.

Fair warning: a bot played this one and measured the frame, so take the notes as measurements, not as a verdict on how it feels to play.

Only played the opening of the demo. The art is lovely, especially the thawed ground spreading out from the hearth against the grey frost, and the clock holding at 06:30 during the first task takes the pressure off. In my run the third twig sat right beside a tree, and clicking it kept the character chopping the tree while the task stayed at 2/3. Giving the clicked object priority over a nearby tree would clear that up.

Thank you! This is definitely a bug. I already addressed this kind of problem partially in the update I am currently working on. However the resources are generated randomly across the map so I think I may need to introduce some map rotation to handle this. It should allow the player more flexibility on what he choose to interact with
