overall:

- fun lil doom/quake style romp with a vampire skin.

intro:

- the title screen was very blurry for me, not sure if it was the gane or weird rendering.

- drops you right in. no instructions or info. good for quick replay, bad for getting a handle on things.

audio:

- sfx were a little static/stale, could've done with a little dynamic energy to shots/enemy responses depending on range.

- music would be a nice touch, even an ambient bed.

display/presentation:

- fun oldschool graphics, good enemy designs. didn't get past wave 4 so not sure if more variety.

- great level design, not sure if environment changes but if not some variety or other rooms would be great.

gameplay:

- no pause/instructions/settings. inclusion of it is always a plus.

- the health was a little confusing/seemed unbalanced per shot.

- collecting health drops wasn't always possible, still on screen but no interaction.

- enemies/hit rates we a little too unforgiving for a single-difficulty imho, moreso movement/hitbox jank than actual scale it seemed.

Very, very, very solid. On point with the theme, and the sub-theme, wish it had a classic downloadable build or at least fullscreen, so I can immerse more.

And yeah, this game screeeeams for Level Design, it craves it like vampires do blood haha 🧛

I hope you're going to work on it, as it is a very solid base for an interesting experience, especially considering creating more spaces and their relation to basic mechanics, right now it's kind of a jarring arena shooter, kinda hard too. Haven't managed it past those flying enemies, but am still curious if there are more enemy types out there. Wish there was more 🫀

Simple, but cool!

The monsters are awesome and I love these guns.

They made good use of sub-theme.

(Bug: I was able to walk through the wall behind me.)

This game has a lot of potential; I think it’s a great idea and, who doesn’t love shooting demons, right? It would be awesome if the player could move faster, making the game more frantic, it has potential to be a nice deathmatch, player vs demons. Good job!

I love the game idea and the concept, it reminds me of Quake, it would be nice if your character would be able to move faster. I like models, they are scary! Good job!

Great work, just needs juicing up with bullets and hit effects and some3D enemy noises so you can tell where they are coming from and maybe a hit direction indicator so if they attack you from behind or a side that area of a circle shows where the damage is coming from.

This one was super fun! I love the concept a lot and enjoyed playing. I did phase through one of the walls at one point but other than that it ran smoothly.

Bloodshot is a fun, fast paced FPS. The general vibe reminds me a lot of early PC shooters such as Doom, Unreal and Quake. It adds a paranoid feeling to check if something is in your back and an urge to pick up the loot, as you’re literally shooting your life away and it goes down fast. It’s an interesting mechanic, and you have to constantly be careful to keep enough blood to kill the next enemy without dying from it. I’ve played it a few times, was able to win only once, and it was quite gratifying. The sound design is minimalist but efficient. A bell that announces the next wave, your rifles firing, and your character dying. Great job on the monster designs, they’re properly spooky.

Has a lot of potential for a full game

Even though there’s no impact feedback from the weapons, it’s still pretty cool!
