I was pulled in by the art! Some of them could have been integrated better (like when you passed through the dragon bone mouth, there was a hard line that cuts through) but overall, quite pleasing to look at.

Very grateful for your comments, Michael.

The design came out really well, the character especially. One small thing: it slowed down a lot for me with the Chrome window maximized — worth a look if you get the chance.

Nice game with good art.
I didn't find the control settings. It's just run and jump or there's something else i can do?

Developer

Just jumping and running. Thanks for your comments.

Gorgeous entry. The art and the four-runner relay are a lot of game for a jam, and the restart confirm, P pause and the English text all held up on my runs. One note, about phones:

On a phone, Play drops you into a run you can't move. Touch controls start OFF (controls071.js only turns them on if 'torch-touch-controls' is already saved as 'on'), there's no tap fallback on the canvas, and the "enable touch controls in SETTINGS" line is only on the Controls screen. I loaded the build fresh in iPhone 13 emulation (390x844, touch): #touchControls hidden, then taps on the lower-left and lower-right of the screen left the runner at x 230, IDLE, 3 s later. Switching Settings > Touch Controls to ON fixes it, so it's only the first run on a phone. A lot of jam players open entries from their phone, so defaulting it on when nothing is saved and the device is touch-first would cover them:

enabled = saved ? saved === 'on' : matchMedia('(pointer: coarse)').matches

0 console errors on my runs.
