AI TOOLS USED

• Claude (Anthropic) – Co-wrote the game's code (JavaScript/Vite): the engine, map, clue and ending logic, special moves, content-advisory screen and Calm mode. Drafted narration, clue and ending text, which I directed and edited. Helped build the cover/banner animation scripts, debug the web build and write the itch page text.
• NanoBanana (Google's Gemini image model) – Generated the Polaroid images: the four survivors in three acts, the rooms and the clue photographs.
• Gemini – Brainstorming and refining image prompts.
• Visual Studio Code with GitHub Copilot – My editor. Copilot gave in-line code suggestions.
• freesound.org – Source of sound recordings (human-made, not AI).
• Audacity – Editing and mixing those sounds (not AI).

Hazard, breaker and light cues are synthesised in the browser with the Web Audio API (code written with Claude).

All design decisions, selection of images and text, playtesting and final editing are mine.

Interesting concept! I think the story has some real potential, and I like the idea of uncovering a mystery while trying to keep the characters alive. Unfortunately, I found the interface a bit overwhelming and confusing, which made it difficult to follow what was happening in the story. I think a cleaner layout and a more intuitive presentation would really help the narrative shine. Still, there's definitely an interesting idea here!

Thank you for playing and for the kind words about the story. You're right about the interface: you're the third player to say it's overwhelming, so it's the main thing I'm fixing next. I added a short "How to play" video to the game page, which should help a little in the meantime. A cleaner layout is planned for the post-jam version.

dark but fun.  Claude is  a prude but you got a good result.  It was sort of hard to figure out the instructions, a brief intro might help, but I'm frazzled.

Thanks for playing! Glad it was dark and fun. 😄 You're right that the first minutes are confusing, so I added a 41-second "How to play" video to the game page. It shows picking a survivor, moving, and what each button does. And yes, Claude and I negotiated the violence a lot. Hope you get one girl out next time!
