What a great game! I was hooked almost immediately. The visuals, colors, animations, and especially the way the music syncs with everything really make the game stand out.

I also loved the idea of combining poker hands with a strategic board game. There's clearly a lot of depth here, especially with the different cards, combos, and special abilities.

The tutorial was interesting, and I liked learning by playing against a teacher. Once more mechanics started appearing, I got a little overwhelmed, and when I tried playing against another player I got completely destroyed, haha. Still, even though I didn't fully understand everything yet, I could tell the game has a lot of depth and is genuinely engaging.

One piece of feedback: the special powers/modifier cards felt a little visually disconnected from the rest of the game. The main presentation has a really strong neon, futuristic, electronic style, but those cards looked much more generic to me, almost like they belonged to a different game. Maybe they just need more visual context or stronger integration into the overall aesthetic.

Overall, this feels like a very polished and complete game. Creative, challenging, stylish, and entertaining. It definitely has a learning curve, but it also made me want to keep learning and come back to it.

Great work!

I played the tutorial and a bit beyond, on Easy.

First of all, the visuals are really nice and the effects are awesome. It's a fun idea. It isn't the easiest game to learn, but once you get into it, there's plenty of depth to explore.

Possible bug: I clicked the steal booster, then selected one of my opponent's cards, but nothing was stolen: the card stayed with the opponent and the booster was still there . Maybe I misunderstood how it works, but there was no message telling me what went wrong. (Played in Chrome on macOS.)

On Easy, the forecast helped me a lot to understand the game. I'd keep it there, but leave it out of the harder modes. With it, you mostly just hover each card in your hand and pick whichever tile shows the most points, which takes the thinking out of it.

Overall a really good-looking game with a nice idea. Good luck with it!

Hi,

I only played the tutorial for a short bit, the first impression is good of the visuals and tutorial but I got mixed feeling once the boosters got introduced, at that point I wasn't even sure I liked the core loop and wanted to experience a bit more of it, the visuals are interesting and everything but I feel like 5 at once may be too much friction to learn at once + you cannot really tell by the art what it does so you need to read everything, maybe if the tutorial even told me what I must take and taught me the "signature" card it could help a bit.

I am also not super clear on put random card over the booster to pick it, does that build new combos as well? why would I ever not pick a booster? maybe the tutorial should tell me pick a card that's part of a new combo and place it over the booster... in any case maybe even 1 out of 3 would feel less overwhelming to a new player as the pick.

I mean andrew is a cool name once you are familiar with it but card name "Draw 2" would say it all without having to read the tooltip and while the visuals are cool in a trading card collection game even animated I quite like simple cards and find the contrast maybe too much at first impression, not saying that you should change it it's just a thought, uno has a very simple +2 card that does the same and needs no reading.

I also played quite tired so please just see if you find any points useful.

Also while testing someone invited me twice for a game, while active players is good this could be annoying if someone just wants to play with bots, or just to prevent spam there should be maybe some red/green status toggle whether I am available.

Hi,

I understand that having to choose between 5 cards right from the start can feel overwhelming. I'll think about how to better introduce these cards during the tutorial.

As for the boosters, I had to make an artistic choice between simple icons that clearly communicate their effects and more theatrical, grotesque, and dramatic animated illustrations. I went with the latter. It's an artistic decision, even though the visuals have already received some criticism for looking too AI-generated.

But you're right about the names. Replacing names like "Andrew" with something more descriptive like "Draw 2" would make the effects much easier to understand at a glance. I'll definitely do that.

The mechanic of placing a card on a booster is actually intentional and designed to add another layer of strategy. Sometimes you'll face a tough choice: grab a booster for yourself, or play your card somewhere else to prevent a disaster, potentially leaving the booster for your opponent to claim.

And finally, sorry for inviting you twice! Yes, that was me. With such a small community at the moment, I tend to get a little too excited whenever I see someone new playing and can't resist the opportunity to play a game with them!

Thanks a lot for taking the time to give such detailed feedback, especially while tired. It's genuinely useful!

Now I will test in depth your game as well

haha no problem, I just thought having no option to appear offline or decline and block invites for 30 minutes (or something in that regard) may sooner or later become a problem, and with no sign up I wasn't even that sure if it was an actual human
