Hi, I played your game, it's fun to combine towers for a while but I didn't feel like there was any meaningful decisions for me to make. I just clicked buy endlessly and matched what appeared to get the next tower. I couldn't tell that there was any benefit to previous towers, or the position of towers? In the end I think Id just win the game if I manage to click buy and combine towers fast enough and lose if I don't?

* There was also a bug when you ending up 3 towers in a row but they don't automatically combine.
* It caused me confusion that you implemented both click to drag, and click and hold to drag. Ideally you would only have the latter, not both.
* The buy button changes to higher level towers but it doesn't make sense to me, it changes from level 3 to level 4 and back again.

The graphics and animations are really well done.

Yeah, same here, I wasted some time of my life going up until tower 11, which was nice, but there's clearly a lack of incentive and variation.

Thanks for playing all the way to tower 11! You’re right, there wasn’t enough incentive or variation. A major patch is coming today with a new mechanic, a skill tree and new towers, so there’s a lot more to work toward. Hope you give it another try!

Hey, thanks a lot for playing and for the detailed feedback, it really helped! All three issues you mentioned are fixed:

  • 3 in a row not combining: merges only happened when you dropped a tower, so towers that spawned next to each other just sat there. Now matching towers combine on their own, and merges can chain.
  • Click to drag vs hold to drag: agreed, having both was confusing. Click-to-move is removed. You move towers by dragging only.
  • Buy button switching tiers: it was showing a random “lucky” higher tier ahead of time, which looked broken. It now always shows the normal tier, and a lucky upgrade is a surprise when the tower spawns.

You’re also right about the lack of meaningful decisions. A major patch is coming today with a new mechanic, a skill tree and new towers, so there will be real choices beyond buying and merging. Glad you liked the graphics and animations!
