Improvement Summary
Aside from music and voice acting (both of which I directed), I'm a 19 year old solo dev that did everything myself. This includes art, programming, writing, etc. In the submission period, I released the demo and made several bug fixes/QOL changes/many more.

Thanks for the trigger warnings at the start of the game, they helped set me in the right mind to play the game.
The voice work in the intro was really well done, it really portrayed the characters well, in my opinion.
You did a good job showing Vega's depression and treating it with care. His inner thoughts and comments feel very real. He feels like someone who is hurting and is in need of help.
I think the volume could use with a little more normalization.
Some of the SFX felt a little loud compared to the music, particularly on the Menu and Extras pages. I lowered the SFX volume manually, which helped.
It would have been nice if there had been a SFX and Voice line played when I adjusted the setting to make it easier to balance them.
I feel like the notes/arrows in music practice appear kind of suddenly. I feel like they should start off-screen.
In the scene at the end of the intro you go from a dark scene to a white screen really quickly, I feel like that is a bit much of a shift.
I liked the art quite a bit. It did a good job of giving me an idea of the type of person each character was. The backgrounds were good at setting the mood and giving a feel of the different locations, and in my opinion they look quite good (I'm specifically pointing this out because in your pre-game dialog you talk about the BGs looking like shit, so I wanted say that they look good, in my opinion).
I found the story engaging. The way it started really drew me in and had me invested right away. From the very beginning I wanted to learn more about the characters, and that only increased as I played.
You did a really good job with the different characters. Even with their very different personalities, it was very clear how much they cared about Vega and each other, even if they showed it in ways some people would not view as them caring for each other. They felt like real people, with their own identities.
Extras Notes:
I think the Extras page was a nice touch. I liked being able to read a little bit more about each character in the Profiles, and I look forward to seeing what else is added as the game progresses.
The way the profiles look makes me think that this group might be part of some sort of experiment that they don't know about.
Aza, Val, and Leo all have their hair listed with two colors, one being their natural color and the other being their dyed/un-natural color, Vega only lists brown even though he has blue highlights.
Extras Notes End.
I feel like I had very little control over what happened in the game. I would like to be able to do more and make some choices that impact how the game goes. The story was well written enough that I didn't mind it feeling like this, and I would enjoy playing the next part of the story when it's out, but I still would prefer having more choices.
Both Aza and Vega have a chain hanging around their pants, is there a reason for this, or is it just decoration? The reason why I think it might be something more then just decoration is that the Val and Leo don't have it, it is just Aza and Vega, so might that be family related. I also acknowledged a butterfly necklace on both of them. Someone else who I was talking with said that that would looked like a two part necklace that you would give one part to your best friend/family, which added to my wondering about the chain.
That is all of my notes. I played through the demo, and am interested in seeing what more is to come.
I was quite surprised by the amount of content this game has! Voice acting, unique art minigames wow! Yall have accomplished a lot!
Art is quite unique. The story is a bit of a slow burn but I kind of expected that based on the material around the game.
The voice acting was surprisingly polished. Since this is a Visual novel and I do not have many critiques.
I was really impressed with the background paintings! Seeing the No AI tag was a relief.
Wishing you success with this project, if you have any other questions, feel free to ask!
Without getting into spoilers I really like the game so far! Art is nice, sound and SFX work really well and set a good mood. Most importantly for a game like this I really like the character design and their personalities. There is a lot of visual communication with the design that hints at who they are really well. Friends personalities were great and dialogue feels really natural. Great job!
I appreciate that you included trigger warnings in both the itch page and the game itself. It helped me make sure I was in the right head space before playing the game.
You did a good job showing Vega's depression and treating it with care. Some of his inner thoughts and comments hit hard and felt very real. He felt like someone who was hurting and in need of help and support.
I really liked his friends. Even with their very different personalities, it was very clear how much they cared about Vega and each other. They felt like real people, with their own identities outside of their relationship with Vega.
I enjoyed the art a great deal. It did a good job of giving me an idea of the type of person each character was. The backgrounds were also nice. They set the mood and feel of the different locations.
I think the Extras page was a nice touch. I liked being able to read a little bit more about each character in the Profiles, and I look forward to seeing what else is added as the game progresses. The way the profiles are presented also leave me wondering if there is more going on in this town than meets the eyes, and has me wanting to learn more. One thing I did acknowledge as feeling a little odd to me. Aza, Val, and Leo all have their hair listed with two colors, one being what felt like their natural color and the other being their dyed/highlight color, while Vega only lists brown even though he has blue highlights.
The rhythm mini-game was fun. It was a nice way to break up some of the story with something a little more action based. My first time playing it I really only played attention to the arrows and my timing. I was aware of the words at the bottom of the screen, though I couldn't focus on reading them and maintaining my rhythm. I tried it again, with the intention of reading the text and not trying to do the game part. That time I acknowledged that my score and combos was being tracked. I think it would have been nice if at the end of the mini-game, it showed a screen with my score and highest combo before continuing to the next scene.
I found the story engaging. The way it started really drew me in and had me invested right away. From the very beginning I wanted to spend time with the characters, and that only increased as I played. I really liked the inclusion of a non-binary character and adopted siblings that behaved like siblings. I did feel like I had very little control over what happened in the game. The rhythm mini-game felt like the main thing that I could really impact, while most other things felt more like I was reading a graphic novel more than playing a video game. The story was well written enough that I didn't mind it feeling that way, and I would enjoy playing the next part of the story when it's out. That said, I think having a some more options would have been nice. Things like being able to explore more places like I could in my room and the hallway, and maybe some dialogue options could help make the player feel like they have a more active role in the story.
The voice acting was a nice addition, and it added a nice extra to the game.
All in all, I think you did a good job with this. I look forward to seeing where the story goes next.
For my feedback, I can't evade mentioning anything without spoiling the story, so...
!!! Spoiler Alert !!!

Firstly, it's good that you have the disclaimers at the start regarding sensitive topics.
I find the first when where Vega spends too much time in their room and house. It feels like the pacing is too slow for me. But due to the overthinking native, it has a narrative cohesion. Honestly, there was just too much monologue for my taste. But to each their own. I would look into trimming some monologue that doesn't really serve a narrative purpose. Since you're hinting that something big is happening on the fourth day at the beginning, I was looking forward to what transpired until that time. The pace only picks up when we're at the Abandoned Church.
Vega mentioned that they wasted most of their twenties rotting inside the room. From It feels more like Vega is still a teenager or just early twenties. The dialog and how the group also sounds more like teenagers instead of fully grown-adults. From my experience, by late twenties most people would be already too busy with lives instead of visiting your basement to practice band. Unless they're really passionate about music, and even if that is the case, taking break from a whole month will not work well for your music career. But who knows, maybe the characters in the story are already somewhat successful in their career to afford the break. These are the discrepancies that I'm struggling to reconcile in my head while playing.
Some comments on the UI...
In the selection UI (e.g. in the Abandoned Church when choosing to go to the Sun Room or Graveyard), I find it unusual that the border also expands vertically when you hover on the option. It must be that the size of the border scale together with the size of text, and when the text get slightly bigger when you hover them, the border also get bigger.
The UI at the bottom of the screen is decent enough to not be cluttering the space. It would probably be a bit better if the options can automatically hide itself when your mouse cursor is not hovering them. I am saying this because the dialog window is also at the bottom half of screen, so hiding the UI when you're not hovering them will put more focus on the dialog window for better immersion. The last option only says "sett", while it's easy to know that it's settings, why not just show the full word?
The rhythm mini-game at the end is such a fresh break from all the dialog! I was playing on PC with a keyboard. It may be worth trying with using different keys for the inputs as opposed to the arrow keys. Since the character is playing a bass with vertical four buttons, maybe using key layouts of the following (using right hand) would be worth experimenting:
"space-bar" -> thumb
"N" key - index finger
"J" key - middle finger
"I"key - ring finger
I think this will align thematically more with the layout of the game and bass instrument.
The rhythm and button timing seems a little bit off for me, but since it is not-punishing, I think I did pretty well. Since this is mostly a narrative visual novel, I'd put a lower priority for it compared to the writing/narrative.

End of Spoiler
Overall, this is a decent visual novel, I enjoyed my time playing it and made it until the end of Day 1+ the 10 questions personal assessment. Although the pacing is too slow for my taste and the content is still lacking, it is an overall pleasant experience to go through the demo. I do look forward to know what will happen in the full demo!
Good luck on the development!
heya! tysm for taking the time and playing through my game, it's very appreciated.
i definitely understand some of your criticisms, especially regarding the pacing and UI. however, the story is intended to be a slower-paced, character-driven psychological horror VN, and vega's excessive internal monologue is a deliberate part of his characterization. however, i understand that it won't be everyone's cup of tea. some of your critiques are disproven as well (vega says he's in his early 20s in the intro and everyone else is similarly a young adult, the band is a group of friends playing together for fun, they didn't want to practice when someone wasn't there, etc.).
regardless, i'll definitely keep your suggestions in mind as i continue development, especially the rhythm minigame timing and UI improvements. i'm glad you enjoyed the experience overall, and thank you again for giving my game a chance!
Ah! I must have missed that when Vega mentioned it, apologies.
No worries, although the pacing may be slow in general, it does have thematic cohesion. So I didn't see it in a negative was; just pointing it out.
Your Day 1 experience plays very solidly for me, looking forward to the unraveling of events!
