Overall, this is a challenging, but really interesting game! First off, it’s awesome to see a game made in Godot. Love supporting my FOSS brothers! Also, thank you so much for providing a native Linux build; it ran great.
I had a lot of fun with it, but I have a few suggestions that could make the experience even better. For movement, jumps shouldn't have food costs. Taking away that penalty would really encourage players to play a bit riskier. The legs also feel way too fragile right now, so you might want to ease up a bit on the fall damage.
On the quality-of-life side, it would be great if players could end their day early while still in the scrap zone. Sometimes you're just standing around doing nothing for the last 10–20 seconds of the day, so being able to wrap it up early saves time. Adding a proper menu when pressing ESC would also be super helpful, that way, if a player totally screws up (like breaking their legs on the very first day), they can easily restart. Finally, for audio polish, right now the scrap sound plays whenever the player enters the scrap zone. It would be better if it only played when the player actually has something to deposit.
Despite those few tweaks, it's a solid project. Keep up the great work!
