Feedback Wanted: Is "It's Nothing, Really" Easy to Understand? [Free Browser Demo]

Hello! I'm an independent game creator from Japan.

I've released a free browser demo of my game, It's Nothing, Really (ぜんぶ なんでもない).

It begins in a completely white world. As you dig, absorb objects, and give things names, the world gradually changes.

I'm looking for honest feedback from people who have never played it before.

I'd especially love to know:

Was it easy to understand what to do?

Were the controls intuitive?

Did the in-game hints help you learn how to play?

Did you feel curious enough to keep playing?

The free demo includes the first two stages and can be played on PC, tablet, or smartphone.

Play the free demo: https://bikobostudio.itch.io/zenbu-nandemonai

English and Japanese are supported.

Any feedback, positive or negative, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

When the world starts completely white, the first verb is the whole tutorial. A faint pulse or soft ring under the cursor until the first successful dig or absorb teaches that action without a hint paragraph, then it should vanish so the world changing does the rest. If that cue stays on screen it starts to feel like homework. Curious whether your current hints fire before that first verb or only after.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful suggestion!

I really like your idea of helping players discover the first action naturally, without relying on too much explanation.

I want players to enjoy discovering things for themselves, so finding the right balance between guidance and freedom is very important to me.

Your feedback has given me something valuable to think about. Thank you for taking the time to share it!

The textures look really cute, and I love the calm, cozy vibe of the game overall — it’s very relaxing to be in. To be honest though, I wasn’t sure what I was supposed to do in terms of gameplay. Maybe a short hint or tutorial at the start could help new players get into it? Really nice work on the atmosphere!

Thank you so much for playing my game and sharing your honest feedback!

I'm really happy to hear that you enjoyed the textures and the calm, cozy atmosphere. That's something I put a lot of care into.

Your comment about not knowing what to do at the beginning is especially helpful. I want players to feel free to explore, but I also realize that they need a comfortable starting point.

I'll definitely keep your feedback in mind as I work on improving the experience.

Thank you again for giving my little world a try!
