A very unusual concept. Even without any jumpscares or monsters, the game is eerie and atmospherically frightening. The design is among the best I’ve seen in this game jam.

Appreciate it! I figured the jump scares would worsen the experience. It lets you release your cortisol. None leaves you hanging haha! There is a monster in there. Did you go until the end of the credits?

Amazing concept and fun gameplay. The eeriness of everything is perfect and the art is peak old school space gaming. I do enjoy the lack of jump scares and shrieking sounds, i think it made the whole experience much more tense and sells the horror of the unknown lurking on these space bodies. Altogether a great game and experience and enjoyed the story.

WUT this is soooooo well done! Wow I am lost for words. How a game like this can be done in just 5 days is beyond me. The game is just so unique among the crowd, and the visuals are just top-notch. Gameplay is easy to understand and fun, and the ending is just chilling to say the least. Again, well done! This is absolutely a 5/5 from me.

Other things I like:

  • The shader looks really stunning! Haven't seen anything like that in my life
  • The audio during recording sounds good and creepy at the same time
  • Storyline is great

Suggestions:

  • The menuing is a bit hit or miss, and it doesn't convey what you are currently selecting nicely. A bit more colour/some moving bits to indicate would be great
  • The ending is a bit long to the point where I thought the game bugged; I guess it needs more moving parts and such to show the game is still in a cutscene/running state
  • I guess the only thing that brought the game down is that you need to download before playing. That will definitely hurt the game's reach. And I guess it would also work nicely on web to!

Just wow! Absolutely adored the ASCII aesthetic, just visually stunning. Quite creepy too! Easily a favorite from this jam.

Very nice game! I loved the UI a lot, the ASCII art filter is a very cool effect. Very solid sound design as well :)

Wow. That was an experience. The art and gameplay is awesome, and I loved the ending

That was a really nice and simple horror game fitting the theme. The text like renderer or shader or what that is does wonders. I really love the glitching and it reminded me of the end of earthbound kinda. Very well done.

I had nostolgia for going to the museum and planetarium as a kid and loved the horror of the infinite void of space. I also love the idea of an original 70s machine in nasa and being used on ships to gather data. i took the best of both worlds! there was always something about a glowing planet in an abyss that just makes me happy :). for the story and gameplay. it was like an iron lung mixed with project hail mary but i wanted it to be creepier and have a great ending. i just am worried people didnt let the credits finish for the actual ending haha. thank you for your support!
