The art is very cute. The game idea is also very good! The game has some good potential. But I did get confused at the two-sided gameplay. In the day, you are playing a side-scroller runner game and in the night, you are hunting people. The idea for this kind of gameplay is awesome, but it does not seem to have a link with the story. I'd suggest making this 'day-night-gameplay' clear in the story. There's also a misalignment between the project name and the name of the game in the main menu. Is it "Trick or Boo!" or "Trick of Boo!"? Moreover, the animation of the ghost capturing a person also needs an update, it looks like he moves forward his 'pumpkin' to capture but just pulls back it before capturing, and then the capture triggers.
But still the game was pretty fun. The idea of the sun and moon as timers was a clever choice. The music was also pretty satisfying. For the first game jam, it is a solid game.

Thank you for your comment! In fact, we once tried to explain the background of this running character during the daytime in the story—for example, that he was possessed by the ghost of the night and was preparing for the capture the next night, or something like that—but in the end, due to time constraints, we weren't able to fully present the plot. As for the title, our idea was just "Trick or Boo," just like "Trick or Treat"—it's kind of a lame pun. As for the animation, our art teacher just didn't think it through thoroughly enough. Thank you again for being willing to play our game so deeply!

Man, I loved the idea that, instead of scaring people, you have to befriend them and turn them into your partners and it gets increasingly difficult as you go, it was a really great concept. And congrats on your first Game Jam! It was my first one too. If you have a moment, I’d really appreciate it if you could rate my game!

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked the 'befriend instead of scare' mechanic—it was definitely the most fun part of our design process. And a huge congrats to you too on your first Game Jam! It's such an amazing experience. I'd be absolutely happy to check out and rate your game!
