I really love the art! In terms of game design, I kept getting stun locked by the first sword mob, and also was able to just dash through the whole map! There could be some improvements to the gameplay system.

I also don't think this game falls under sim category?

You are entirely correct on combat mechanics it is not that it is lacking but not explained how to be used. due to tight development constraints, it unfortunately had to be left out.

To handle the sword mob's stun lock, players can utilize the K key to parry and deflect attacks.

Regarding the genre categorization, the initial concept differed from the final execution, but thematically the "simulation" tag was intended as a narrative framework representing a petty individual's obsession simulator with revenge before being forced to move past it.

However, I completely understand your perspective from a strict design standpoint.

Thank you for the critique, it provides insight for future balancing and improvements.

amazing visuals and polish! would be great to have the intro skippable and some controls hints when the game starts

Thanks, I was planning to do that but as usual in a game jam needed to meet the deadline.
