oh thats great one love it
Thank you so much, I’m really glad you loved it!
I loved the idea, and the art and concept was interesting
Thank you so much! Really glad you liked it!
This is a really creative idea. I have never played a game with this concept before. Besides the few hitches presented due to Itch itself and not your inherent design for the Web build. This game is great and executes the theme well. I really enjoyed the Art, sound, and clarity of the tutorial UI telling me what I needed to do. I myself can learn from this design philosophy as a fellow developer. Thank you for creating this for the Jam. It is truly lovely and I can not wait to see further development on it and where you plan to take it next once this Jam is done despite which ever rank you do achieve!
Thank you so much for such a kind comment! I’m definitely continuing with it after the jam, so I hope you’ll see where it goes!
This is an interesting idea for sure!
Thank you! Glad the idea caught your attention!
I love the art style and the worms are so cute. Great game
Thank you so much! The worms are definitely the stars of the show, so I’m really glad you liked them!
From the jump, music is a good vibe and all the art vibes together! The font choice is perfect and fits well with the UI art.
REALLY good tutorial, very impressive with teaching the player how to line up the visuals and placing the guiding arrows (I know from experience that isn't easy, even with AI). Pause menu is lovely as well!
Really enjoying the loop so far. I think cutting the worm out is a good level of difficulty. I don't really understand which apples to cut and which to sell yet, but maybe that will come with time. It's a fun loop giving the worms to the fisherman, though I'm not sure how the fish factor in yet. Might be fun if he gave you the fish and you got to keep half of the profit or something. Love the touch of the worm "singing" when you're cutting the apple (if that's what it is).
I feel like after the second or third round of cutting (about when second worm is found) would be a good time to show a shop or something to do with the money, or maybe introduce another tree. Felt like the loop was getting a tad stale at that point. Right after I wrote this, I discovered the shop! Nice one. I think there just wasn't a text popup.
Overall: Really enjoyed it! I think it's a funny loop and there's definitely stuff to add on. I got a little bit bored towards the end but it may just not be my type of game as well. Probably the best game I've played so far in the jam!
Wow, thank you so much for all this feedback! It’s really helpful, and I’ll definitely keep it in mind as I keep working on the game. Thanks for playing, and “the best game so far” made my day!
I think you're easily top 5, this was such a neat and polished little concept it was super cool!
Let's hope you’re right! Thank you so much, I’m really glad you liked it!
Very satisfying gameplay loop, the apple-cutting to find worms is an awesome idea.
Thank you!! The apple cutting was the first thing I made, so I’m really glad it landed.
Looks, sounds, and feels really good to play!
Thank you so much! I spent a lot of time on how it feels to play, so that means a lot.
Really unique idea! Found the simulation gameplay of cutting an apple to retrieve a worm to be very refreshing.
Thanks for playing! Glad it felt fresh. I wasn’t sure if cutting apples for worms would make sense to anyone but me, hehe.
I really love the vibe of this game! I had so much fun playing! 10/10
Thank you again!! You’re way too kind, and I’m so happy you had that much fun with it!
Intriguing game. Very unique concept. Took a LOOOONG time to load. I'd like to see more polished art, but that's a personal preference. Played and got two worms and one fish. The tutorial notes were helpful but not overbearing. If I had time, I'd go for the record. I may add this to collection to see how it goes. Well done.
Thanks for playing and for the honest feedback! Sadly, I can't do anything about the load time during the voting period, but I'll work on it for the full version, along with a big art upgrade. And if you ever find the time, that record is waiting for you! Thanks again for the feedback!!
Love the concept and the incrementals. Great Game!
Thanks!!
