Design Statement
The theme track moves from a quiet, held opening into a long rush and then lets go. I heard a city at night: many people in one place, each alone with a screen. Night Service turns that into a station between 23:40 and the last train. You are a glitch, a stray cursor, and the only thing you can do is carry what people's phones leak (a receipt, a song, an alarm, a photo) to someone else. Nothing says whose need it fits; you find out by trying. When it fits, a grey marble stranger warms into colour, the music box in the score stops buffering for a moment, and the station keeps a trace of it. The look is angelcore and internet collage: cherubs, pearls and pocket watches next to error windows and loading bars, because care and the internet sit together in the same places now. There is no failing and no score beyond fourteen people seen. The night ends where it ends, and the end screen plays the theme track as it was given.
Game Instructions (launch steps, controls, and gameplay overview)
Launch: play in the browser on the jam page (desktop Chrome, Edge or Firefox with WebGL 2; the first load is about 200 MB), or download the Windows build, unzip it and run thatgamejam02.exe (if SmartScreen warns: More info, then Run anyway). A mouse with two buttons is needed.
Controls: in the station, W A S D to fly and Q / E to go down / up, hold the right mouse button and drag to look, and with the left button drag a scrap onto a person. In the last train, the laundromat and the 24-hour store, click the arrow on the floor (or use the mouse wheel) to move to the next spot; the arrow after the last spot brings you back.
Gameplay: scraps leak from people's phones as glowing pink pins. Drag one onto someone: if it is what they need they come into colour; if it hurts they turn away. Two people with something in common can be linked by dragging from one to the other. Help fourteen people, in the station and through its three doors, before 01:00; the night is about sixteen minutes.

Did your project use any AI tools or assets? If yes, please specify.
Yes. An AI coding assistant (Anthropic's Claude, in Claude Code) wrote the game's code (Godot GDScript and Python tools) and drafted the in-game English text under my direction; the textures those tools draw (windows, tickets, UI pieces) and the music and sound effects (synthesised in Python) come from that AI-written code. No image, music or voice was made by an image or audio generating AI model: the pictures are credited public-domain, CC0 and Creative Commons photographs and artworks, cut out and recoloured. The end screen plays the jam's theme track unmodified.

The Game Crashes anytime i try to load into it... :(
The game crashes on web for me (using Chrome).
The game was mostly confusing for me, but not because of the visuals or the art direction I like those, but the gameplay itself. I mostly wandered around haha.
