This is just a follow-up to my previous post, for any who are also curious; this post is the same to the reply I wrote to "How do you assign work?"

Having dug around in the game's code, it seems there is a decently developed system for how jobs might work, but no actual way to assign jobs, confusingly enough.

My full list of things I've noticed are included in the game but not implemented (or their implementation is bugged) is as follows:

Jobs. I haven't quite figured out how to get this one to work.

Outfits. This one I have been able to fix by changing the code to bypass requirements. Drop a message if you want an in-depth explanation of what parts of the code to change to do so.

Rising threat levels at work. There are systems for this either partially written or outlined in the code, but there are no images or videos in the files. This is related to the jobs section, though.

Endings for each girl. They exist in the code, but I cannot find images or videos that detail them, other than certain Bad Ends (like failing to pay rent too many times.)

Selling information to the stalker. Matilda is fully implemented, and there are some outlines for doing so with Mira and Karen, but this has yet to be implemented, likely because harassment images and videos do not exist for these.

Mira working at the brothel. Again, falls under jobs, but bear in mind this is a possibility in the game code.

Items. You can purchase them, but not a single one of them can in any way or form be used for anything.

Purchasing new outfits. There's a system for this, and the images do exist, it just lacks any interface for a regular player to do so.

Onto some trivia:

The background scenes appear to be generated with ChatGPT. I am currently unsure what AI was used to generate the intimacy scenes, but I do not believe checking would be too difficult.

There's a lot of spaghetti code. Like, a lot. Mine isn't much better, to be honest, but, to any who also decide to take a peek in there, be aware some of the things referenced in the code may not yet exist. It also seems to be partially or fully developed by AI, though I will admit I could be wrong, as I'm not familiar with using AI to code.

Annnnnd that's all for now. Maybe I'll get bored and dig around a little. I don't know how AI image and/or video generation works very well, and I have no idea how one would make not safe for work content using it, but if it's not to difficult, there is a non-zero chance I might challenge myself to mod the game a little.

As title suggests, the Download Page "cannot be found in Itch", making it impossible to download the game in any version.

Exactly as the tittle suggests. No matter who I talk to, there isn't an option to assign them work.

Para responder a tu primera pregunta: Sí; las opciones que estan en gris son opciones que van a ser añadidas en el futuro. Por ahorita solo las puedes ver, no seleccionar.

Is there still a discord /  place for discussion, or is the game, and all things relating to it, dead? I've come up to what I presume is either a stage where I am not sure how to progress, or the end of what was uploaded altogether. I've gotten to the camp, and I can't help but feel like there's nothing further; am I simply missing something obvious?

Sorry if I'm missing something, but the Discord link doesn't seem to be working for me... is it dead, or does it have some sort of pre-requisite?

As much as I understand where you are coming from, the game is only 18+ because the creator felt some of the things shown were too heavy for a normal audience but, if the game were properly assessed, she feels it would end up being categorised as PG 15. Moreover, I don't see it as a reason to feel bad about your fetish (seeing as I also share in it) but rather as a reminder that it should be kept safe, and a show of what the consequences can be for all involved. It is, to echo some of the arguments above, a refreshing take on the genre that focuses deeply on the other side of the argument regarding hypnosis/mind control, that being the life the player will be ruining. Again, my views are completely opinion-based and I am fine with them being challenged; I feel that is, in part, a large aspect of the game; being able to see things through a different lens.

Of course, this is my disclaimer that I am by no means an impartial commentor; I am heavily into the genre, but I also adore how well-written the story is (Penlight is still my favourite VN to date), and I admire the creator greatly from the point of view of me being an amateur writer. Also, I just want to say that I didn't feel judged playing /reading through the game, but rather questioned as to whether I fully understood what I liked, and that is an invaluable contribution to my experience having realised I was into this and what it entailed.

As for the target audience, it really could be anyone who appreciates good writing or is into the genre, but will of course resonate most greatly with those that enjoy both. I've also heard good things from people to whom I recommended the VN on the basis of a morality story, rather than a hypnosis one, so there is that to consider as well.

To end the rant to a 1 year old post, I'd just like to say that consent is important, even if some people may find themselves more enticed by a lack of it, that can be left squarely within the realm of roleplay, so I am both grateful and happy about the fact that all routes that violate this sense of consent and choice are either (objectively) bad routes, or routes that require redemption to achieve a good ending.
