just dumped way too much time into this game, and there's a good chance I'll be back for more. kinda sad I didn't find it during the rating period, but happy to play it now. even if it weren't a jam game this would be a really fun one, it being from a four day jam is extra impressive. i can see lots of possibilities for improvements, can't wait to see what y'all do with the steam demo. congrats on the great work!

Didn't find opponents, but the art on this one looks really cool and the music as well!! Might be neat to add a singleplayer mode or something in the future.

This is a fun one!! Feels super polished. I thought it was a very creative interpretation of the theme, and executed really well. Seeing my little guy carrying out a giant weapon was quite amusing, and I could see spending a lot of time on a game like this. Great work!

This is a really cool game. Initially expected a rhythm game or something, but then found that I loved playing at my own pace, seeing how the drawings and sound reacted to my input. Super simple on the surface, but executed really well. The art is so wonderful, really reminded me of some other full published games I have seen with the same sort of structure, which means I could see this being a published game. The ending is lovely as well. Great work!

uhhh apparently my comment on this one didnt save my bad lol. this is a fun one!!! got kind of confusing at a few parts (figuring out where to click for the jumps specifically tripped me up a few times, but I got the hang of it), but I liked this one. The graphics are delightful lol, and this has a lot of super interesting mechanics I could see be expanded a lot. Good work! :)

ooh best of luck!! i'd happily play an updated version 💜 🚀

if you one day decide to upload a web build of this, i'll be the first to play it!! it looks so cute and polished

I enjoyed the cute, simple graphics on this one, very clean and effective. The sound effects are hilarious, and the car felt nice to drive. A simple game, but done well, and I could see it being expanded quite a bit. The main feedback I have is that the inverted camera took a bit to get used to, but I saw you already said that was an accident so no problem there. Good work!

YES i finally found it!! remember seeing this one in progress and wanted to play it so bad. The voiceacting is a nice touch, the cinematic bars on launch just to see my goofy pile of parts launch itself directly into the ground was truly delightful. The art is incredibly charming, and it got surprisingly tricky as I tried to make better and better rockets. Money increased pretty slowly, but that's not a big deal. I had fun with this one. I can see lots of possibilities for future updates with more parts and upgrades and stuff. Reached the moon... now i want to go to mars lol. Good work!

I actually really enjoyed this one! I'm sure plenty of people have drawn the connection to keep talking and nobody explodes, but I think this was an interesting way of making that game singleplayer!! I really liked trying to extrapolate meanings from as few words as possible. I do think that the shop should probably show your currency before you buy stuff, not just when it decreases your money, since I didn't know what I could afford lol. I can see a lot of ways this game could be expanded to have more mechanics, more complex instructions, maybe smaller puzzles within the game, all sorts of potential. I also think that maybe an easier mode or something where the bomb blowing up could just take away some money so the punishment wasn't quite as harsh could be a nice addition. Regardless, I really liked this game. Very clean, clear gameplay loop, felt nice to play, and fit the theme well. Great work!

This is an interesting approach to the theme! Reminds me of some older flash games I have played, if they were made way more interesting and challenging lol. The serious, dramatic music suddenly being accompanied by the voiced cheering was kind of funny to me, and the rocket confetti was quite satisfying. Gameplay quickly became really chaotic, and I enjoyed it. Loved trying to see how bizarre I could get the rocket to look - seeing a rocket fly up with only 2 wings floating in air was really funny. Also that silly bottom left thruster just kept popping off 2 levels in a row I was losing my mind lol. Good work!!

This is a really cool game!! Really interesting, and was both easy to understand straight away and also got extremely difficult lol. Definitely a pretty stressful one, trying to find the countries on a time crunch was pretty tricky. Had one case where a country got offended or something by itself, but the rest of the time that wasn't an issue. Really cool way of creating a narrative out of little scenarios, and the music pretty quickly reflected how stressed I was trying to get everything through as fast as possible lol. Also, the strings between the points were quite nice, made the game feel that extra bit polished. Great work!!

This is so fun!! The controls felt great, and combat felt really polished especially ranged combat. Big fan of how the arrows bounced off the ground. The art was also really nice, and the music tied everything together really well. Definitely got pretty tricky later on, and I occasionally had times where melee combat seemed to not work even when the enemy was just standing there without a shield, but still a really fun game. Great work!!

Truly a beautiful game. 10/10

all jokes aside, this was a really solid game! great balance of funny text and art with genuinely challenging and interesting boss fight mechanics. i'm quite fond of the art style, and the music fits in really well. those tiny bullets combined with the laser kept getting me lol. charming game, great work!

This is so creative!! Super polished, very impressive for four days. The visuals are all super cohesive, and that combined with the audio make this really satisfying to play. Sometimes the little birds or homing rockets would get too close before either hand could reach them and I just had to watch knowing there was nothing I could do lol. I think it would've been really cool if we could keep shooting while moving the hands, especially for the rockets. Regardless, this was a really neat game. Great work!!

Very cool game! Hearing a voice say "so easy" while i was hopping along on the floor trying to figure out the controls was a bizarre experience lol. The controls felt pretty fluid once I got used to them, though sometimes it was pretty hard to predict what would happen when holding using the spacebar (would my character run on the wall, would i just fall down, how far would i launch off the wall, etc). I wasn't very good at this, I don't play many 3D parkour/platforming games, but I thought this was a neat game. Definitely a cool character controller, felt very satisfying when I managed to chain a good number of jumps and moves together to fly through the map. Good work!

Fellow planet-themed clicker game!! I really, really enjoyed this one, much more than I expected. Such a simple game on the surface, but the execution is really done so well. I love the visuals of this, the sort of 90s windows aesthetic and the crt shader, and the 2d+3d look for the planet, just really cool, plus the music and sound effects just tie everything together. I got embarrassingly far and had debris wipe out all my satellites multiple times (because clicking each one was pretty tricky once the chain reaction started) before realizing I could unlock rockets to clean up the atmosphere, so that was something, but the gameplay went a lot smoother after that lol. Really enjoyed how it was more than just a typical clicker game - had to balance the number of satellites to manage collisions while still getting as much science as possible. I can see a lot of opportunities to expand this game to have more strategy elements which I think would be really cool, and would definitely come back to this in the future. Super clean, and an impressive level of polish for the time limit. Great work!!

Very unique game. This is so different from everything else I've played in the jam, and it is such an interesting, introspective take on the theme. The simple visuals are effective, really lets the entire emphasis be placed on the player's own emotions. Really made me think. Good work!

This is a really fun game!! Simple, creative, easily understood concept, and executed well. Definitely gets difficult later on, but it felt like a pretty decent difficulty ramp, if a bit quick. I really liked having to balance shooting with keeping the ship cool, as it really encouraged dodging and being more strategic than a typical game of this style. I could easily see this being expanded with more ideas and mechanics in the future. Good work!

Very interesting idea!! Quite a cute aesthetic, I like the clean UI and the pastry theme. The timers were pretty stressful - at first, I was trying to be strategic, but it reached a point where the numbers were higher and the timers so short that it was easier to just go press buttons wildly and hope for the best haha. Despite this, I thought it was a neat idea, and I enjoyed playing it! 2048 is already a fun game, and this put a very creative twist on it. Great work!

Very challenging!! The variety and constant changes made this feel more like a test of reaction time than an actual rhythm game at times, but that isn't really an issue just something I didn't expect. Still a very cool game! The visual polish is especially impressive, and the sound design really adds to it. Good work!

help i cant stop gambling with my soul. the way my heart just leapt in my chest when i got 2 1's in a row.... also that 2x multiplier was life changing. the continue button was a little hard to find lol, extremely minor issue though.

This game is so addictive, once I figured out what was going on I was hooked. The art and music fit together so well, absolutely gorgeous game. I got so wealthy until my hubris got to me.  Super impressive for only 4 days, really feels like a complete experience. Great work!!!

this is such a neat game! The movement is super smooth and responsive, took a bit of getting used to the keybinds but I can see it making some really cool levels possible later on. It felt so satisfying when I got everything lined up just right to launch the little guy around the level at superspeed. Unfortunately I was afflicted by the same windows accidental-speedrunning-hack bug as some others, so i wasn't able to get past level 2, but the levels I played were really neat!! Big fan of the high contrast color palette, and the sound ties things in really nicely. Would definitely be interested in checking this out again in the future maybe on a different device, I think there's a lot of potential here. Good work, everything I played felt super polished for a first game jam game!! Congrats :)

hilarious concept, extremely chaotic and a surprisingly amount of juice in the gameplay. Love a game that doesn't take itself too seriously. Movement got a little stuck in tight spaces, but attacking the cultists was really satisfying! I would've liked for it to be longer :)

Thank you!! Glad you liked the art :) There's definitely things I would change about the resetting to be a bit less unforgiving but didn't get the chance, maybe next time lol. Thanks for playing!

Totally understandable!! Originally, the whole point was that the asteroids were kind of like a forced prestige system like a tycoon game, where they would give you different metal ores you could spend on permanent upgrades including some like unlocking species that can survive the asteroids, but unfortunately I ran out of time u_u. thank you for playing anyway!

Glad you liked them!! I really enjoyed making them :) Thanks for playing!

Recognized your profile from Bone Broke, thanks for playing our game! Yeah, the timing can definitely be pretty tricky - the idea is you can only play each minigame for a short period of time before needing to run from the monster, but sometimes you can get pretty unlucky with the timing.

I'm glad to hear you liked the minigames!! They were so much fun to design :D I felt frogger was an absolute must-have for a retro arcade lol, and I like to imagine the runner was how the asteroids felt in the actual Asteroids game haha.

Thank you, and thanks again for playing!

Thank you!! So glad you liked it! And yeah, we knew we wanted something to sort of tie the different minigame together, and I originally made reverse frogger as a joke, but it ended up being way too silly to get rid of, so I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it. Thank you for playing!!

Thank you!! We spent a fair bit of time discussing the shaders, and I think Jeremy did a great job really giving the game that atmosphere. Thanks for playing!

Thank you! Happy to hear you liked the atmosphere. Thanks for playing!

Thanks so much for playing!! The peaceful mode was a very last minute addition, and as my fellow developer said we ran out of time in a few areas. Definitely several things to hopefully fix some time in the future :) Thank you for the feedback!

oh no!! That's such an unfortunate bug. I'll have to take a look at some point to see what could've caused it. I'm glad you liked the concept regardless, and thank you! I think there are a lot of areas where I could add more to this game and I would love to keep working on it in the future. Thanks for playing!

I'm sorry to hear that it was confusing, and I think that's a good idea - I originally had adding a tutorial on my list of stretch goals for the jam, and while I unfortunately didn't get to it, I think it definitely would've helped. Definitely understand management being a bit annoying as well; I tried to make the rats a bit more self sufficient later in the game to alleviate that, but maybe in the future I could find a way to work it into a more visible player-controlled mechanic. I'm glad you liked the sprites, and thank you for playing!

Thank you!! I spent way too long on the little tails, so I'm glad you liked them. I think that's a cool idea, and would definitely help justify the cost of the cosmetics.

I respect the dedication to the metagame o7 Thank you for playing! :)

Thank you so much!! I admittedly did not consider trackpad users and I definitely should have haha. If I come back to this game in the future like I hope to, I'll hopefully be able to figure out a good way to make the camera feel a lot better to move around. Adding more stages is a great idea, and something I would love to do in the future. Maybe you eventually power an entire galaxy...? Who knows lol. Glad you enjoyed that little easter egg, and thanks so much for playing!

Thank you!! I got that feedback about the camera movement a few times, if I come back to this game in the future I absolutely plan on reworking it at least a bit, like adding middle click and drag to move the camera or something like that. I also totally agree that rerolling should have a penalty, I didn't have time to work out the balancing for that during the jam but I think that would definitely help make the rats in the shop feel a bit more meaningful. Thank you for playing!

this is an incredibly polished game. the little character is super cute, I loved the little animations, and overall it feels great to play. the controls took a bit of getting used to, but according to my notes once I started getting the hang of it, I spent way too long just throwing the little guy around the levels. Great work!

hello fellow nemo :) this game was so fun! yay for gambling. it takes a simple mechanic and does it well - the upgrades are neat, braking is a nice touch, and I greatly enjoyed becoming unbelievably wealthy. Great work!

thanks for the reply! i really respect you taking feedback seriously. all I had written was that i got stuck, I wasn't able to comment right away at the time so I don't remember where :( if I have time after the jam I'll try to come back and check again! sorry I couldn't provide more useful feedback.

absolutely wild visuals, super cool to look at. unfortunately my browser kept lagging pretty badly, I guess it couldn't handle the sheer power of beyblades, but still quite a fun game. great work!
